O Chui Chai!

Thy divine form in ethereal dancing sways,

Her lithesome body and supple waist,

In splendid art by mortal hands arranged,

Two orbs of onyx, deep, darkest of shade,

Her coy glance leaves hearts dismayed.

O sylph-like fair,

The more one looks enthralled, the mind shall stray,

Both hands and arms in languid grace do play.

Each motion like Heaven's own arrayed,

Each wrist and limb in precise display,

Behold such beauty, pure God's ballet.

O laud-most lady,

Thy Brahmin grace and glory,

Skin unmarred,

Nor mire may tar,

She gleams alight,

Like a gold-leaf star.

The more one looks,

Praise shall not deplete.

O Lovely Sprite!

Thy youthful bloom,

Thy maiden sweet profuse,

Thy innocence does all gloom consume.

Once smiles curl,

Thy blushing cheeks suffuse.

I hold thee, Muse,

Like truth holds true.
