Personal Manager
7- I love possessive kids.
It was almost 1 PM by the time the young model finished his work meeting. Luckily, the producers weren't strict about requiring his personal manager to be present. The main topics discussed that day were casting, organising the crew, detailing each person's responsibilities, and checking the actors' schedules for any conflicts.
Everything went well, but the meeting took so long because there were quite a few actors, even though it was just a series. As for the lead actors, it was as the producers had previously suggested that Gun and Darin would be paired together.
Long legs strode briskly out of the elevator of a giant entertainment company that produces TV series and dramas for us to see on screen. The TV screen showed many celebrities coming and going from the place. Some of them were people Gun recognised, but he wasn't close to them because he usually hung out only with the male models at the same modelling agency.
"Gun!" A familiar voice called from behind, so Gun quickly turned around.
"Oh, Toey!"
"Gun" and Tin followed closely behind.
"What are you doing here?" he asked immediately.
"We came to get the script," Toey replied with a smile.
"So you've become an actor now? Before, you never seemed interested in this," Gun teased.
"I'd like to give it a try."
"So Tin isn't going to stop you anymore, huh?" Normally, Tin would vehemently object to Toey taking on any acting jobs because they involved being close to other people. At the very least, there has to be a hugging scene.
"They're not listening to me at all."
"Well, since we can't stop him, we'll just follow him around like a shadow," Gun said jokingly. Toey laughed too. Only Tin had a grumpy expression.
"Tin is just feeling unwell, that's all. Otherwise, I wouldn't have brought him here."
"Is Gun's personal manager coming too? What's his name again? Is it P’Kel?" the short person asked with bright, innocent eyes.
"Do you know him, too?" the tall model asked back with a surprised expression.
"We overheard P'Koi and P'Bim talking. We visited P'Bim yesterday. After returning from out of town, P'Koi got sick. Oh...and P'Bim."
"P’Bim is almost due to give birth," Toey said at length, and Gunn wasn't imagining it, as the petite model had become much more talkative. "We haven't contacted P'Bim at all."
Since getting a new manager, they hadn't contacted the old one. He wondered what the manager was so busy with. He was curious. I need to find a free day to visit sometime.
"Which Kel is it, Gun? The name sounds familiar." From what Toey said, the only thing that caught Tin's attention was the name of Gun's personal manager.
"I heard P'Bim say he's a cute guy. Is that true, Gun?" Toey asked again.
"...Cute, huh?"
"I feel like I recognise him," Tin stared at his friend, wanting an answer. The Kel he knew was also a cute guy, just like Toey said.
"Yeah," Gun replied briefly.
"What's wrong with you?"
"That's him," he said, unsure how else to explain it. He didn't want to be asked why he didn't introduce him back then.
"Damn! But that day you..."
"I'll tell you later."
"No, I want to know now. That day, you were complaining about the new manager to us even though he was sitting right there."
"I have to go. Bye, Toey," Gun quickly said, cutting short the conversation. He didn't want to say anything yet because he needed to get back to his room. He hurried to his car, sighing with relief that Tin's questioning was unsuccessful. Honestly, Gun didn't really want to hide anything from anyone.
Kel was his personal manager, but that day, when they went drinking together, he felt it was Kel who didn't want to reveal to others that he worked as a model manager, preferring to talk about his DJ work instead.
I didn't forget to stop by and buy some food and medicine for Kel. I'm really worried about his health and afraid he might get sick. He didn't call. He went to check on how the other person was doing because if they weren't awake yet, it would be like disturbing their rest. Upon arriving at the condo, Gun hurried straight to his room, and as soon as he opened the door...
Bang!
"Ouch!" the person inside cried out.
"Excuse me, what are you doing standing here?" the young model asked, realising he had accidentally bumped into the other person by opening the door.
"I'm going home now, I'm hungry," a sweet voice said, rubbing his forehead repeatedly.
"Let me see," Gun pulled Kel's hand away before checking the area where he had unintentionally hurt him. His thick hand casually brushed the hair from his forehead.
Apply and gently rub the red spot.
"Are you going to carry my bag? I'm not a kid anymore," the shorter manager asked, looking up, but their faces were too close. Now, the taller man was focused on nothing but the other's sweet, alluring eyes.
No matter how deeply he stared into his eyes, he couldn't tell if they were truly innocent. Thinking about what happened that morning, Gun couldn't really say for sure what kind of person Kel was. Even though he was the first to "devour" him, his skills in flirting and manipulating others were sometimes too much for him to keep up with. He was so hard to read.
"Uh..." The small mouth uttered with difficulty. Everything he wanted to say became hesitant when Gun stared at him like that.
"I'll hold the bag for you, but whether it will get lost is another matter."
Having said that, the younger one let out a soft sigh at the smooth remark. The smaller one was momentarily stunned because he had only been joking. He felt a gentleness, as if he were being doted on by his parents as a child. He had been so cocky for so long, but he'd been completely defeated by a simple wound-bleeding gesture. His heart was pounding so hard he was afraid the other person would hear it.
"..." Kel’s beautiful lips pressed together before he raised his hand to push his strong chest away. Kel didn't want to think beyond the current situation.
"It won't go away," a deep voice said. He knew that a mere breath wouldn't make it go away, but why did the little one feel so warm in his heart? He pushed Gun away just now because he had to restrain himself. I've let things run their course for too long. What if I were to actually fall for someone? Nothing seems to be working out yet.
"I bought you some rice. Aren't you hungry?"
"I'm going back. I need to get the car." Kel didn't want his heart to race and lose control of himself.
"You're not going. Eat first, then you can go," the landlord said firmly this time.
"Eh!" The sweet face started to frown. That was because Gun forced him and also liked to make a stern face.
"When did you start drinking? Did you get enough rest?" he asked before beginning to examine the smaller man's clothes. They hadn't seen each other in so long. Gun noticed that Kel is wearing his t-shirt and boxer shorts. Looking at it overall, you can barely see his pants because the shirt is so long.
"I just finished showering." He lost his composure again when he stared at him too much. He wanted to call for his usual sharp-tongued friend to argue with. That's way too much talking.
"Pornographic"—that one short word expresses everything I feel.
"What kind of nudity is that? I'm fully clothed!"
"Tee," Gun chuckled slightly, thinking that Kel probably didn't realise how charming and attractive he was, even in that long, bulky T-shirt. But it can still be revealing.
"What are you laughing at?"
"Short pants are too revealing."
"I like it, you're possessive over Kel," he managed to bring back his clever Kel. A slender smile spread across his lips as he immediately sent a seductive glance, his beautiful eyes held up.
“I like what you like," he said, never intending to give up. He'll let it slide this time after being called a kid. He can just wait and see what Kel says.
How many times a child?
"Sigh... What should I do to get someone to like me?" The stubbornness, the slip-up... Actually, I didn't mean to build a bridge like that. It was because he was afraid that the answer he gave might make him lose face. "You don't have to do anything," he said. See, I knew it.
"Okay, you shouldn't expect too much."
"I like it even without you doing anything," Gun continued, leaving Kel speechless for a moment.
"..."
"Your words are as sweet as they taste." he had to pull himself together, realising he was being manipulated by a kid like Gun. There's no way I'd ever like someone as easily swayed as him. He's already given his all after only a few days; who could possibly fall for that?
"Don't believe me?"
"I'm hungry." Honestly, I don't want to get into things that require emotional communication. Every relationship that ends isn't because they didn't...
It hurts. Everyone feels pain when things don't go as planned.
"I have medicine too. Are you still in pain?" If the other person doesn't want to continue the conversation, they'll change the subject.
"hurt"
"It hurts, but I'm rushing back." Just a little complaining. No matter how strong you are, you should listen to your body.
"I'm not used to it. This isn't my brother's room."
"Think of it as your own room. I already gave you the key card."
"Oh, I forgot. Where is it?" The short person turned left and right, searching for what Gun had given them.
"How could you leave? So many Kel’s want him!"
"You're so narcissistic," Kel pouted, annoyed.
"Hee"
Finally, he sat down to eat and take the medicine that the owner of the room had bought. In his heart, he desperately wanted to ask... How did Gun know what medicine to buy for him? Did he ask a pharmacist, or how many times had he done this before? The thoughts drifted for a while until the tall man walked out of the bedroom with the same key card.
"Here, this is for you," he said, sat down in the chair opposite and handed it to him.
"Thank you for giving me more."
"You can come anytime."
"Is it true? What if Kel stays here overnight?" That's what I want to know. I'm asking indirectly.
"Well, if there is one, I'll let you know first," Kel was taken aback by the answer. He didn't seem to care about his feelings at all. "You have to tell me soon so I can change my route."
"What's the change? Are you going to see Man's brother?" Everyone wanted to know about the other, but no one wanted to ask directly. They're just testing the waters back and forth.
"Ah... It's not bad."
"May I ask, you and Mind have never been intimate, have you? Then why is he so possessive of you?"
Gun’s curiosity was overwhelming. He had been suspicious ever since Kel said he’d never been intimate with anyone before. How could someone like Mind let the person in front of him slip through his fingers?
"How did you know that Mind is possessive of his brother?" His slender eyebrows furrowed together.
"That's when we met, and he messaged me again, saying not to do anything beyond the roles of model and personal manager. He said, 'I'll only date him when...'"
"How much?" This wasn't sarcasm. Gun genuinely wanted to know. And now he had Kel, even though Mind had gotten him first. If they found out, he'd probably get a punch or two.
"I haven't thought about it yet, but even if Mind forbade it, it wouldn't matter, would it? We've already been intimate."
"He forbade it before I could take you. He messaged me yesterday."
"You're so stubborn. You don't listen to your friend's older brother at all."
"I only listen to myself." I can do whatever I want. Since Kel agrees, there's no reason for him to tolerate his own desires.
"And can you please obey me?" There he goes again, the slender figure is being flirtatious once more.
"It's your job now to figure out how to make me listen," the young model said with a mischievous smile.
"Last night's method was okay."
"Everyone knows who was in charge last night."
"You can only control me in bed, let me tell you." The defiant look on his personal manager's face made Gun want to tame him even more.
"I know you're hard to control, so if you're too stubborn, I'll have to force you into bed. Because that's the only way."
"You talk as if it's going to happen again."
"Maybe not."
"I think Gun is hooked," he said, taking advantage of the situation and feeling proud that he had made the other person show that they wanted more.
"Really? But it's not like I've never cheated on anyone before," Kel was taken aback, realising that Gun probably didn't have much experience in bed.
"Ah... okay, okay, I give up. Thank you for showing me that next time I do it to someone else, it probably won't be as scary, and it probably won't hurt as much as the first time."
"Is that so?"
This was a sarcastic, resentful remark that made the listener clench their jaw, trying to control their anger. They knew they had no right to forbid him from being with someone else, but they were simply displeased.
"So, how did work go today? We should be talking about work rather than irrelevant things," the slender man changed the subject, knowing that the atmosphere had begun to become tense.
"Okay," he said, genuinely stressed. The young model's face right now was terrifying.
"What's so good about it? Tell me the details. I need to know too."
"I'm the hero, you know that, don't you?" Gun started to get irritated, making the shorter man feel uncomfortable. Perhaps he was being too sarcastic, but neither of them knew what was going on. We only had sex once.
"And was the female lead the one they originally planned?"
"Yes, Darin is the female lead."
"She's so beautiful." I can't help but admire her. She's still in school, at an age where she's naturally stunning without needing much makeup.
"Yes, it's very beautiful."
"I think it's time. Let's go," the shorter person said, getting up from their chair and throwing the lunchbox in the trash.
"Are you really going in that outfit? My boxers are too thin," Gun said, looking at the slender legs.
"My pants from last night reek of alcohol," Kel replied.
"Sorry, I didn't throw it into the machine."
"It's alright, no problem. I like it thin like this." He didn't just say it, he smiled too.
"..." But the listener immediately sighed. What a lie! They knew he was flirting, but they couldn't help but feel annoyed.
"I was just kidding. Don't be so possessive."
"Hmph!"
Gun drove Kel to a famous pub that's mostly frequented by wealthy people. Upon arrival, they met the owner. He was waiting outside because Kel had called beforehand to say he was coming to pick up the car keys that a friend had left with her last night.
"Where's the car?" Gun asked.
"Behind the pub"
"I'll go get the keys, and then I'll drive you to the back," the big man took care of everything as he pleased.
"never mind"
"Just sit still," said Gun, then got out of the car and slammed the door shut, making Kel wonder if he had done something wrong. The tall man walked towards the pub owner, a transgender woman, while Kel watched from a distance. She couldn't help but roll down her window to greet them. Jess and Dakon had already told them she was there.
"Why doesn't it come down and get it itself?" Jess asked Gun the moment she saw Kel waving her hand frantically.
"He's feeling a little unwell."
"You're acting just like her husband," she teased, leaving the male model speechless.
How should he respond?
"May I have the keys, please?"
"Yes, young man."
Gun got what he wanted and walked back to his car. He hadn't even opened the door yet when he heard the pub owner from earlier shouting after him again.
"We're short a DJ tonight, you could come help out." I definitely didn't say that to him.
"Okay, okay, I'm going to get some rest first," the person in the car shouted back, completely disregarding Gunapong. Once inside, he immediately handed the keys to his personal manager. Gunapong silently reprimanded him for still working as a DJ in this condition.
What else? When he stroked Kel's forehead to check the wound from being hit by the door, he realised his body temperature was high as well; he felt warm, like he was coming down with a fever.
*Grab!*
"He's hot," he thought, then gently touched the other person's forehead again and felt a slight warmth.
"Huh?" The short person was puzzled.
"You have a fever. Should we go to the hospital?" Gunapong continued.
"No, I'm not going. I'm not sick, and I don't have a fever." She touched her forehead; everything was fine.
"Don't go out tonight."
"I have to help my older brother with his work. Didn't you hear me just now?"
"With such a weird walk, how dare you go out anywhere? What will you say if people ask what you did to make you walk like that?"
They come up with a hundred and one reasons to stop the other person from going out at night.
"My walking style? What's so strange about it?" The slender figure looked confused again.
"When you walked out of my condo, your legs were spread wide."
"..." his eyes widened instantly.
"Therefore, you should rest. Since you're not working today, you should rest as much as possible. Oh... I forgot to mention, tomorrow I'm going to visit P'Bim in the provinces. You must also come."
"Oh, why did you tell me so suddenly?"
"I just told you I needed help with the work, right? Why didn't you think it was sudden? I leave at seven tomorrow, which means I gave you an hour's notice."
"But if they're really short-staffed, I'll have to come." That's how it always is. Kel likes helping his seniors, and being a DJ at the bar adds excitement to his life.
"Okay then, I'll come here tonight. As soon as I see you, I'll take you back immediately."
"Doing this, I'm starting to think you're jealous. You don't have to be that possessive," the shorter person said, still finding it amusing. He thoroughly enjoyed the act of irritating and provoking another person.
"I consider this a warning. Do whatever you want, but I have my own way of handling things," Gun said, not joking, his eyes showing a hint of seriousness.
"I don't have to come if you're so possessive. I'd go to bed at 7 PM sharp." As if that were a big deal. No one could ever stop him from going out at night.
"That's good, but if you don't keep your word, I'll pat your butt to help you sleep comfortably." The young model's words made Kel even more scared.
How is he going to pat his butt to sleep now? I really can't think of anything positive about this.
