Love You Teacher
Chapter 5.
He found Mek standing still, like a statue. A wave of surprise washed over him. He stared at Sun, who had just woken up, with a blank expression. Sun's words echoed in his head over and over again, like a tape playing on repeat endlessly.
"Uncle Thief..."
"S...Sun...?" Pobmek asked with a trembling voice.
"Hmm." Sun nodded drowsily before glancing around the room filled with suspicion.
"Where am I?"
"Is this it? This is the school."
"School...? Hey! Mom's coming to pick me up from school, right? Yayyyyy!!" Sun was so happy he almost jumped for joy as if he were about to fly. Pobmek quickly covered Sun's mouth in shock, like he was smothering a volcano about to erupt. He didn't want anyone to see Solar in this state.
"No, no, no, Sun. Let's go home first."
"Mom's house?" Sun asked with sparkling eyes.
"It's not our house."
"No! I'm not going! I'm going back to my mother!" Sun shouted at the top of his lungs, pushed Pobmek to the ground, and then ran out of the room as if freed from bondage. Pobmek looked devastated and quickly stood up.
"Hey! Sun, come back!!!"
Sun ran ahead down the hallway at a speed far exceeding that of an ordinary person, probably empowered by the stubborn child in his adult body. Pobmek tried to keep up with all his might but couldn't catch up. By the time he turned the corner, Sun had disappeared. Pobmek was breathless and almost unable to draw a breath. He stood bewildered at the corner of the hallway, like someone who had just emerged from a dream.
"Where did he go...?"
"Bump... Crack!"
The sound of the toilet flushing echoed. Sun was hiding in the bathroom, but several children entered. Seeing Sun, they recoiled in shock and stood still before respectfully bowing to their teacher.
"Hello, Teacher Solar."
Sun bowed to the children in confusion as he ran into Mek.
"So you're here!"
Seeing this, Sun immediately ran out, only to find Mek unable to catch him and could only shout. Mek chased after Sun, then chased him again, refusing to give up.
Sun ran quickly down the hallway but stopped short when he encountered a group of children doing their homework. When they saw him, they quickly came over to greet him.
"Teacher Solar, please check my vocabulary."
"Teacher Solar, could you please check my homework?"
"What does this Solar Teacher's question mean?"
Sun was so annoyed that he felt like a volcano was about to erupt. He couldn't take it anymore. So he spoke in a very blunt and aggressive manner.
"My name is Sun! Not Solar!!!"
The children were shocked; some even cried in disbelief. Sun stood there stunned, not knowing what to do. Pobmek heard the children crying, stopped to look, and saw Sun. He quickly ran and managed to grab him, but Sun wasn't the same size as a child, so Pobmek had to use more force than usual to pull him away.
"Ouch! That hurts!"
"If it hurts, just stay still!"
Sun couldn't take it anymore and bit Pobmek's arm hard, making Pobmek cry out in pain and let go. Seeing an opportunity, Sun quickly ran off in another direction. Pobmek chased after him, refusing to give up.
"Alright, next let's do some lion stretches! Get into the lion's character! 12 3 Bleah!"
Inside the spacious gymnasium, Jee was teaching a physical education lesson to the children, demonstrating animal-themed stretching exercises. He sat in a lion's pose and spoke in a powerful voice. The children enthusiastically imitated him, roaring in unison. "Put lots of power into it! Be fierce! We're not ourselves anymore, we're lions now!" Just then, Pobmek rushed into the gym, looking frantic. He scanned the room searching for Solar. Jee looked away from the children and spotted Pobmek. He then spoke to the children...
"Okay, that's it. Just pretend to be whatever animal you want to be," Jee walked over to Pobmek. The children continued to imitate animal poses.
"Princesses, assemble!!!" A little girl named Elsa clapped her hands, calling her group of friends to come and watch her run towards Pobmek. Aurora and Tinkerbell, her friends, quickly left the line to join Elsa.
"What's wrong, Elsa?" Aurora asked curiously.
"Yeah, what's up, Elsa?" Tinkerbell added, copy-pasting the question.
"Teacher Mek and Teacher Jee are flirting!" Elsa replied excitedly. The three looked for Jee and saw Mel. Jee walked over to talk to Mek at the corner of the gym.
"Hey, Pobmek, what are you looking for?"
"Nothing, I'm just taking a walk in the fresh air," Pobmek replied irritably. Meanwhile, the three girls from the Princess gang were mimicking and narrating over the two teachers' conversation.
"I'm worried about you. Solar wasn't being good to you, was he?" Elsa said in a husky male voice. "I'm sorry to make you worry, but I missed you so much. That's why I want to meet you."
On the other side, where Pobmek and Jee were, they continued talking.
"Don't you have a class to teach? Just coming out for a walk to get some fresh air? I might as well write this down in my notebook."
"Here," Jee said, pointing to his notebook.
"You don't teach during class time either," Pobmek replied sarcastically.
Mek was about to walk away, but Jee extended his arm to block him from going any further. The children started squealing and gathered around the two teachers. Aurora joined in the voiceover.
"Don't make me lose control and kiss you right now," said Jee, while he and Mek were still clinging to each other.
"Hey, Pobmek, what's up?"
"I do not have"
"Are you feeling unwell? You have a slight fever," Jee said, touching him with his hand.
"I'm fine!" Pobmek removed his finger from his forehead and walked out of the gym. Quickly, the children followed Jee, with puzzled expressions.
Thump! Thump! Thump!
Footsteps echoed, and Sun ran off in a panic, as if fleeing a ghost. He didn't know where he was or where to go next. Seeing guards at the school fence, Sun was overcome with fear, like a mouse seeing a cat. He decided to find another way to escape.
He ran past the playground as if his life depended on it, but then turned back. He saw Four and King skipping school to play tag on the playground equipment.
"What are you guys doing?" Sun asked curiously.
"Hey, Teacher Solar! We didn't skip class!!" Four shouted in surprise and hurried to get off the ride. But Sun, however, sounded cheerful.
Breathless and exhausted, Pobmek looked left and right for Sun but couldn't find him. He found Four and King still there. The two boys had stern, suspicious expressions. Pobmek immediately realised that these two must know where the Sun is.
"Have you two seen Teacher Solar?" Pobmek asked, breathless. Four and King shook their heads, their faces expressionless and suspicious, which Pobmek noticed immediately.
"Tell me, where did Teacher Solar run off to?... If you don't tell me... you'll be bombarded with a whole bunch of old math problems!" Pobmek threatened in a serious tone, making the two children exchange frightened glances.
Inside the gym, the boisterous sounds of basketball coaching echoed. Jee was happily teaching the children how to dribble a basketball when he saw Sun running past, seemingly fleeing from something. Jee stopped teaching, grabbed his notebook, and stood blocking Sun's path.
"Oh, no classes today, Teacher Solar?" Jee asked in a friendly tone. Seeing a strange adult ask him, he felt a little apprehensive, like a rabbit facing a fox. He didn't know how to answer, so he just shook his head subtly.
"Great, I had something to tell Teacher Solar. I just saw Teacher Pobmek, and I felt like he seemed a little strange today," Jee said in a casual, worried tone.
Sun lowered his head, looking at the floor, and answered hesitantly. "I...I...I don't know."
Sun was about to walk away, but Jee moved to block his path and stared intently into Sun's eyes.
"But I think... Teacher Solar is acting even stranger than Teacher Pobmek right now."
While Sun was under pressure, stressed, and unable to do anything, he spotted Pobmek and ran. Pobmek arrived just in time and quickly snatched Sun away from Jee
"Uncle Thief, let go!" Sun cried out in alarm. Jee was puzzled by Sun's strange behaviour and then saw Pobmek. "Uncle Thief? What is it? Is something going on?"
"I told you there isn't one!" Pobmek snapped angrily.
"Uncle Thief, I told you to let go!" Sun continued to struggle in Pobmek's arms.
"How could there not be? Teacher Solar is wriggling around like a shrimp! The kids are all staring," Pobmek said, turning to look at the children in the gym who were looking at them curiously. Jee went over to talk to Mek up close.
"Hey, Pobmek, tell me what's going on. I don't want to report you guys."
"Write it down," Jee said in a softer, genuinely concerned tone, finding Pobmek so irritated he was about to explode. He pulled a red pen from Jee’s jacket pocket and scribbled haphazardly in Jee’s notebook. Jee was so startled he froze, as if cursed.
"Hey, Pobmek, don't use a red pen! I only use a blue pen!!!" Jee’s OCD flared up when he saw the red ink Pobmek was writing in the notebook. After finishing colouring with a red pen, Pobmek tossed the notebook back into Jee’s hand.
"You can evaluate whatever you want, nobody's as good as you, Jee!" Pobmek grabbed Sun's arm and pulled him out of the gym, leaving Jee to watch them go with a worried expression.
