Love You Teacher
Chapter 3.
Pobmek, standing still in the middle of the condo, was trying to understand what it was. The situation is becoming more confusing every second.
"Your name is Solar!" he shouted.
"My name is Sun!" the other person shouted back, even louder.
"Solar!!"
"Sun!!"
"Tell them my name is Solar!!!"
"My name is Sun!!!"
Sun couldn't take it anymore. Using all his strength, he yanked his arm free from Pobmek's grip and grabbed the water bottle from the table, throwing it at him. Pobmek dodged, but wasn't prepared for Sun to follow up with a kick to the groin, sending him collapsing to the floor, his face pale and his groin bruised and writhing in excruciating pain. Seeing an opening, Sun quickly fled the room, while Pobmek, tears streaming down his face, tried to stop him by shouting. "Solar! Where are you going?!"
Ding!
Sun rushed to the elevator and frantically pressed the button repeatedly. As soon as the doors opened, he jumped inside and pressed button number 1, but nothing happened. Confused, Sun noticed Mek, who was running after him, clutching his crotch, shouting instructions from a distance.
"You need a key card to use the elevator!" Pobmek showed Sun the key card in his hand, making him even more frantic. He decided to run and knock on the doors of the neighbouring rooms, asking for help, but no one opened the door for him. Then, a young woman arrived in another elevator and was about to open her door to her room. Sun saw this and rushed in to ask for help.
"Help! Help!"
"Oh no! What happened?!" the girl next door exclaimed in surprise.
"There's a thief trying to kidnap me," Sun said, pointing to Pobmek. "That guy."
"Hey Auntie!"
"Excuse me, but are you just calling me 'Auntie'?" the woman next door asked irritably.
"Please help me, Auntie!"
"I'm only a few years older than you, I think. Don't call me 'Auntie'!" She started getting angry.
"Please let me hide inside, Auntie!" Sun tried to squeeze through. Upon entering the room, the young woman was startled and tried to stop him.
"Hey! Hey! You're not allowed in!!!"
"The thief is here, Auntie!!!"
The girl next door couldn't take it anymore, grabbed her pepper spray, and sprayed it in Sun's face. Immediately, Sun cried out in pain, "Ouch!!! My eyes sting!!!"
Sun lost control of himself. He collapsed to the floor, writhing in agony. When Mek arrived, he was shocked and looked up at the girl from the next room, speechless.
"Next time you're role-playing, learn to respect your neighbours," the girl next door said, slamming the door shut. Pobmek could only stand and watch as Solar writhed on the floor, then sighed wearily.
The condo room now looks like a post-war battlefield. The doorknob is chained to a metal ring on the wall, used to hang bags. Pobmek is gently washing Sun's face with water from a basin, while Sun has calmed down. In his hand, he holds a small photograph of Pobmek and Solar, taken together during a trip.
"So, are you and I really friends?" Sun asked in a weaker tone than before.
"Of course it's true. You still don't believe it?" Pobmek asked back with a puzzled expression.
"I can't believe it... How did I end up in this body? Since when have I been an adult?"
Sun’s words made Pobmek pause for a moment. He asked with curiosity..."You said... your name is Sun, right?"
"yeah"
"So, let me ask you... How old are you really?"
Sun counted on his fingers before answering in an innocent voice.
"Well... seven years old." When Pobmek heard this, he was even more stunned. "And why is this bandit uncle looking after me? He was planning to take good care of me and then call me… "Was the ransom demand from my mother very expensive?"
Pobmek picked up the picture that Sun was holding and showed it to him again.
"We're not robbers, we're not demanding ransom. We're friends."
"Oh, so even people you know can kidnap each other."
"Okay, that's enough. Stop asking questions and behave yourself. If you don't behave, I'll break up with you, and you'll be kicked out of the room."
Pobmek's threat immediately silenced Sun. He looked frightened, then calmed down peacefully. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door of the room. Pobmek told Sun something with a serious tone of voice.
"Stay here for now, and behave yourself!"
Pobmek told Sun something and then walked away. Sun watched Pobmek go. With a mischievous glint in his eyes, as if he had suddenly thought of something, he watched as Mek peeked through the door of the room and found that Sodchuen had come to visit.
"You're back from the hospital so quickly! How's Solar doing?" Pobmek hesitated to tell the truth, but suddenly Jee joined him, looking refreshed and enjoying the view outside Pobmek's room.
"Wow, that condo's nice, man... But hey, is Teacher Solar okay?" Seeing that Jee was with him, Pobmek's expression changed instantly. He quickly made a decision. They said they didn't want to welcome the two of them right now.
"Yeah, that's okay," Pobmek replied briefly.
"Solar is asleep now, thank you so much, P’Sodchuen ."
Suddenly, there was a loud bang from inside the room. Pobmek turned to look, his face pale.
"He sleeps quite loudly," Sodchuen asked with a very puzzled expression.
"Solar was just tossing and turning in his sleep, that's all. Nothing's wrong."
But the loud banging sound was even louder.
"Tossing and turning like that is worrying. I think you should get a sleep test." Jee spoke with concern.
"Thanks for worrying about my boyfriend," Pobek said with a sarcastic smile to Jee.
"It's late, brother. Go home safely."
"Hey, what the heck? Wait a minute! I came all this way!" Pobmek quickly slammed the door shut, his face beaming with relief, before hearing another loud bang. He hurried over to see where the sound was coming from.
Splash... Bang! Bang! Bang!
The sound of running water and banging on the wall came from the bathroom. Pobmek hurriedly opened the door to check, worried, but when he saw the scene inside, he was stunned. The bathroom walls were covered in suds from soap and shower gel. Sun was laughing gleefully at having played a prank on him.
"Hey!!! What are you playing? It's a mess! Go, go, go to bed! Got it!" Pobmek shouted.
Sun smiled with satisfaction before walking out of the bathroom, leaving Pobmek behind. Pobmek was left to continue cleaning up afterwards. After finishing cleaning the bathroom, Pobmek walked into the bedroom but was shocked again to see Sun jumping on the bed happily. "Hey!!! You'll break the bed! If you want to play, go play in the living room!"
"Look!!!" Pobmek shouted angrily. Sun looked smug at having teased Pobmek again before running out of the bedroom. Pobmek immediately bent down to inspect the bed frame. His mind raced, wondering if the insurance for the mattress and bed frame, which they had bought with a whole teacher's monthly salary, would cover the damage.
Pobmek walked into the living room, and the sight he saw made him lose his patience. The walls were covered in crayon drawings. Sun was about to continue drawing, but Pobmek grabbed Sun's hand tightly and scolded him loudly.
"Hey!!! Why are you doing this?! What do you want?! I'm tired too!"
"Whoa!!!"
Sun was shocked to meet such a fierce, angry Pobmek. He started to get scared, and tears slowly welled up in his eyes.
"Didn't I say... that if you misbehaved... you'd be kicked out of the room...?"
"I'll get to go home someday... I want to see my mother."
Pobmek was taken aback when he saw Sun holding back tears. He let go of Sun's hand, which he had been holding. Sun walked to the sofa, grabbed a blanket, covered himself, and cried silently. Pobmek was heartbroken and didn't know what to do. He felt guilty for hurting the child's feelings.
Sun, still crying under the blanket, felt alone and terrified. He then slowly saw a shadowy figure approaching from outside the blanket. The blanket was gradually pulled back, revealing the old thief who offered him a lollipop. The thief's face now showed genuine concern for him.
"Is this your favourite?"
Sun nodded, then picked up a lollipop and put it in his mouth until he finally stopped crying. Once Pobmek had calmed down, he started talking to Sun nicely.
"I'll call your mom for you, but in the meantime, find something to do. What should we do first? How about reading a story?"
Sun nodded slowly, signalling for Pobmek to pick up a storybook from the table in front of the sofa and place it down for Sun to choose from. Sun carefully looked through the books one by one, until finally he picked the one with a picture of a hedgehog and a squirrel on the cover, titled "Hedgehog & The Squirrel!"
"This book?"
Sun nodded.
"Choose the English version... Come on... I'll translate it for you."
Pobmek begin to read a story.
"Once upon a time, there lived a hedgehog and a squirrel... who lived there..."
"Same tree hollow... but they live separately..."
The sound of Pobmek's voice echoed in his head, along with a flashback to his university dorm room: two students cleaning together.
But then one day, a big storm came in, filling the tree hollow with fallen leaves. At first, they each cleaned it up individually, but it was very tiring, and they could never finish. So, they both teamed up and cleaned the hollow tree together, happily...
After finishing the story, Pobmek turned to see Sun asleep, still with a lollipop in his mouth. He looked worried yet affectionate, as if he were taking care of a very clumsy grandson. He took the lollipop out of Sun's mouth and gently carried him away.
The small body was placed on the bed before being neatly covered with a blanket. Pobmek looked at Sun worriedly before turning off the bedside lamp.
