Me and Thee & Calm down Mr Rome Special.
Wake Up Call Special #14
The plane touched down smoothly. Peach turned on his phone, and after a quick call to his husband, he opened his messaging app. His main concern was to check whether any new job offers had come in while he was in the air. Once he was caught up, he sent brief replies to a few lingering messages before tucking his phone away.
He made his way through customs without issue, picked up his luggage, and wheeled it toward the exit. The moment he stepped outside, his eyes landed on the familiar figure waiting for him. Peach walked straight to his husband, and beside him were their son and daughter. A bright, genuine smile spread across Peach's face. It was only in that moment, seeing his family, that he truly felt at home.
He embraced both kids. Mhok hesitated for a split second, a little awkward, but his sparkling eyes and wide grin betrayed his excitement. Marn, on the other hand, clung to his neck without a word, arms wrapped tight, refusing to let go. Peach rubbed her back gently, soothing her with soft pats. He understood. He knew exactly what was running through her little head because he had once been in her place before.
"Papa's home. I'm sorry for making you wait so long."
Marn shook her head against his shoulder, her face still pressed against his neck, silently telling him she wasn't mad. Both kids were orphans before Peach and Thee adopted them. They never asked for much, never made demands, always careful, always grateful. But if there was one thing they feared-it was being left behind again.
Theerakit stepped closer, pulling Mhok into his embrace with one arm while reaching out to draw Peach in with the other. Peach leaned into him without hesitation, resting his head against Thee's shoulder. His gaze drifted to their children, soft and full of warmth. This was his whole world.
"Welcome home," Thee murmured, pressing a firm kiss to Marn's head. "You hungry? Let's grab something to eat."
"I want Pizza!" Marn shot her hand up, eyes sparkling. Any trace of sadness from before had completely vanished. "You got it," Peach said with a soft chuckle before turning to Mhok. "And you, bud? What do you feel like eating?"
Mhok hesitated for a moment, then glanced up at them with a shy voice. "Anything's fine...I just want to eat together."
That was all it took for Peach's heart to melt. Without a second thought, he leaned in, wrapping Mhok in a tight hug.
"Sure! We're all going together."
After a bit more playful chatter, they finally started heading toward the car. Peach slung his heavy camera bag over his shoulder, leaving Thee to wheel the suitcase ahead of them. They had barely settled into their seats when Peach felt his phone vibrate in his pocket. Pulling it out, he glanced at the screen-and the corners of his lips twitched in amusement.
Lawrence: Catching a flight to Thailand to meet you there now.
The gorgeous photographer he had worked with a few days ago really wasn't kidding about wanting to keep in touch. Before Peach flew home, she had insisted on exchanging contact details, saying that if she ever visited Thailand, he'd have to be her tour guide. He had laughed it off at the time, joking that he'd need permission from his husband first, but judging by how persistent she was, she clearly hadn't taken the warning all that seriously.
Before he could even type a response, he felt a shadow looming over him. Peach looked up-straight into Thee's narrowed, smoke-grey eyes. He flashed a sweet smile.
"Who are you texting?" Thee's voice was casual, but there was an unmistakable edge to it. "Barely landed and already checking in, huh? Or wait-" He clicked his tongue.
"The seven-year itch isn't over yet?"
...The seven-year what now?
Peach sighed, shaking his head in exasperation, but he still shifted closer, so close that their shoulders were pressed together, practically overlapping. If Thee wanted to peek at his phone, he might as well get a front-row seat. Thee didn't hesitate. Wrapping an arm around Peach's waist, he pulled him in snugly, resting his chin on top of his head as he stared at the phone screen with keen interest.
Pe@ch: You can come, but I need to check with my partner first.
Lawrence: What? Is your wife that strict?
Peach chuckled under his breath, just as he heard a deep scoff from the man beside him. Before he could react, Thee leaned down, lips brushing against the shell of his ear, voice dropping into a husky whisper.
"Oh, strict as hell. And possessive too."
Peach's grin widened. He noted, quite amused, that his husband wasn't even remotely offended about being mistaken for his wife. No, all Thee cared about was making sure that strict and possessive part was crystal clear.
Pe@ch: Very strict.
Pausing, Peach hesitated for a beat, then smirked. Well, work was already wrapped up, so why not have a little fun?
Pe@ch: Also, not husband and wife. Husband and husband.
Lawrence: Wait, WHAT?!
Peach bit back a laugh, glancing up just in time to catch Thee's smug, satisfied smirk. A mischievous thought popped into his head. Simply telling her wasn't fun enough. He tilted his head, resting it against Thee's broad shoulder, then raised his phone and switched to the front camera. With his left hand, he flashed his wedding band.
Thee, ever the perfect accomplice, leaned in without missing a beat-angling his face into the frame, their cheeks nearly touching before lifting his own left hand to show off his matching ring. Peach snapped the picture in one swift motion, adjusted the lighting just a tad, and sent it straight into the chat.
Pe@ch: *Photo sent
Pe@ch: Yeah, we're really husbands.
The message showed as read, but no reply came through. Not that Peach needed one; he could already picture the way Lawrence's sister was probably screaming her lungs out on the other end of the screen.
Theerakit smirked, eyes glinting with pure satisfaction. Watching Peach giggle to himself was just too tempting, so he leaned in and stole a deep, lingering kiss. Peach might not believe in things like the seven-year itch, but Thee? He sure as hell felt like he'd just dodged it. A moment like this-so simple yet so loaded-could've easily turned into an argument if he hadn't handled it right. But that was the thing about love, wasn't it? No matter what they did or how they decided things, they always
kept each other's feelings in mind.
The steady grip of their intertwined hands, the unshakable connection between their hearts, were what carried them through. If they had made it through this, then the seven-year itch didn't stand a chance. Peach's exactly my love. Thee exhaled, feeling oddly lighthearted, his gaze fixed on the road ahead. His fingers absentmindedly traced the band wrapped snugly around his left ring finger, rubbing over the cool metal. The uncertainty he'd felt earlier melted away.
As long as they had each other, seven years, ten years, seventy years-it didn't matter. No curse in the world could break them apart. His brows furrowed slightly as a thought struck him. Without hesitation, he pulled out his phone and fired off a quick message to his assistant.
T: Buy every single charm we looked at yesterday.
Because sure, he had absolute faith in their love, but a little extra precaution never hurt. No curse, no jinx, no bad luck-nothing was going to get past Thee.
