Billionaire Biker Boy
Special Chapter 4 - Birthday Cake.
After an intense interrogation, the culprits finally confessed that they'd been hired to abduct Samut and await further instructions. Once the employer's name was revealed and they were apprehended, the police initially found no direct connections. The investigation continued until Wichien's name surfaced.
When Jet brought this information to the Atcharangkul family, everyone immediately understood the root cause of the situation.
..But to go so far as to target O?
Wonchana then shared all the details about Wichien with Jet, explaining the backstory and adding that Wichien might be homophobic, which could serve as a motive to intensify the charges. The young inspector coordinated with the officers handling the case to provide additional information. Vichai, in turn, contacted a lawyer and a senior police officer he knew. This led to Wichien's arrest becoming a sensational news story. Onnapha, still legally married to Wichien, faced severe repercussions.
The situation escalated to the point where Prasoet, Onnapha's father, had to step in personally: The elderly man asked to meet with the Atcharangkul family to apologise and offer compensation for his son-in-law's actions. He pleaded with them not to pursue civil charges, as Onnapha was in the process of filing for divorce from Wichien. As for the criminal charges, he promised to cooperate fully.
The Atcharangkul family held no grudge against Prasoet's family, understanding that the entire ordeal was solely Wichien's doing. They also sympathised with Onnapha for her unfortunate choice of a husband. Vichai accepted the apology on behalf of the family.
..And accepted two million baht in compensation for the little one.
Samut himself bore no ill will and requested that his family in Hat Yai not be informed. Thus, Vichai instructed the lawyer not to file for civil damages, as it'd also affect Onnapha. They proceeded with criminal charges against Wichien alone. As a result, Wichien was swiftly imprisoned without bail, and all his assets were seized.
Pearwa immediately severed ties with him.
The woman sought a meeting with Onnapha to apologise and return all the money she'd received from Wichien, along with interest. She begged for mercy, asking Onnapha to drop the adultery lawsuit and allow her to keep her business. In exchange, she agreed to let photos of her prostrating at Onnapha's feet be posted on social media as a cautionary tale for anyone considering such a path.
Fortunately for Praewa, she'd never directly harassed the legal wife, except for the infamous public brawl in a mall, which she claimed was self-defence. Onnapha didn't hold a personal grudge against her. After some thought, she agreed to the terms, considering that she herself had been given a 'second chance' by the Atcharangkul family.

Time passed, and by the end of March, a major news story brought new hope to the Thai people. The announcement of parliament dissolution by the prime minister, who had come to power through a coup. And the upcoming election, which everyone hoped would mark a significant political change in the country.
There was hope that the new government would improve the quality of life and living conditions. Especially for the LGBTQ+ community, as the prospect of equal marriage rights seemed to shine brighter than ever.
But regardless of the political climate, Samut remained buried in his textbooks. Although he'd successfully completed his English proficiency exam, earning a score that made the person who found him a tutor proud, he still had to prepare for a business aptitude test in a few days.
The announcement of the results came down to the wire for master's program applications. Despite having Wonchana to teach and guide him, the little one couldn't help but feel anxious. In the end, Samut passed the test and submitted his application just in time. He was scheduled for an interview at the end of the following month.
After returning to France earlier in the year, Varatchaya and the Monet family came back to Thailand once more. Luca's restaurant in a prominent mall was nearing completion, and Varatchaya was thrilled to hear about the upcoming election. She and Luca were eager to move to Thailand. When the children saw Pada, they squealed with delight. Although Chihuahuas aren't typically friendly with kids, Pada played along quite well.
On the first Sunday of April, Vichai took the family on a trip to Ayutthaya to visit temples and enjoy river prawns, knowing that Samut hadn't enjoyed them last time because of his anxiety about being followed.
Chatree, a company driver taking on a weekend job, arrived at the house with a new eleven-seater MPV van. Since Ranee wanted the housekeeper to join the trip, Wonchana drove his own BMW, with the tiny Chihuahua and Little Chihuahua as passengers. After visiting two temples, the group headed to a famous restaurant. The head of the Atcharangkul family, hosting the outing, ordered the largest river prawns for everyone, including Chonlatee and P'Waew, who sat at a separate table.
Once everyone was full, Wonchana turned to his father and said, "Dad... Can I take some vacation time next week?"
"Where are you going?" Vichai asked casually, knowing that since handing over the company's management to his eldest son, Wonchana had never requested personal vacation time.
"It's O's birthday. I want to take him back to Hat Yai and then to Phuket."
"Sure, take it all the way through Songkran if you want. I'll handle the work," Vichai replied.
"Thank you, Dad." Wonchana then turned to the little one. "So, after Phuket, should we go to Japan?"
The travel enthusiast's eyes sparkled as he nodded eagerly. When everyone learned that Samut’s birthday was that Friday, they asked what he wanted. The little one declined, saying, "No need for gifts. My family doesn't give gifts either." How could he explain that his mom and brother usually just transferred money into his account?
No one pressed further, but on Thursday evening, the Atcharangkul family threw an early birthday party for their newest member. They gave modest gifts, like a diamond-studded watch and a backpack worth over a hundred thousand baht, much to the birthday boy's heavy heart. As for Wonchana, he'd been preemptively warned by his little fiancé not to go overboard.
Samut had said he didn't need anything, just to be taken on a trip together. So, Wonchana scrapped his grand plan of buying a car with a driving lesson package and settled for a two-tier birthday cake with a Chihuahua figurine on top.
Samut closed his eyes to make a wish, then carefully removed the candles, a two and a three, to avoid getting saliva on the cake. Wonchana handed him a plastic knife to cut and serve the cake to everyone. Once the top tier was gone, the little one pressed the knife into the bottom tier and noticed something odd.
"Why won't it cut? Something's stuck," he muttered
"Is the bottom tier a fake cake?"
Wonchana, who had been filming with an action camera since Varatchaya brought out the cake, asked innocently.
The birthday boy carefully pried the cake apart and found a tightly wrapped plastic package. He cut away a strip of cake from the side and pulled it out to reveal a massive bundle of grey banknotes.
Samut’s eyes widened as he used a tissue to wipe off the cake crumbs. He peeled off the clear plastic to uncover 10 stacks of brand-new 1,000-baht bills, each tightly bound with a plastic band bearing the bank's logo.
...One hundred bills per stack. One stack is 100,000 baht. Ten stacks make one million!
..A one-million-baht cake!
"Happy birthday, Nuu O," Wonchana said, handing the camera to his sister before leaning in to kiss the stunned birthday boy's cheek.
"Thank you, P'Win, but why are you giving me so much?"
"Well, I saw that hidden money cakes were trending, and since you haven't had much content lately, I thought I'd make it happen. Post this, and TikTok will go wild."
The comment immediately garnered support from TikTok enthusiasts.
"True! This video will go viral. The most I've seen in a video was maybe 100,000 baht, and that was in long strips. I've never seen it in stacks like this," someone said.
Varatchaya, still filming, added, "Too bad. If you'd done it like the long strips, it would've been funnier-You'd keep pulling, and it'd never end. Haha!"
"In that case, a three-tier cake wouldn't be enough," the idea's originator replied. "But more importantly, I didn't want Nuu O to get tired. This is better. Honestly, I was going to do a cashier's check, but one piece of paper isn't as exciting."
Luca watched with interest.
...Thais are so creative. Should I adapt this idea for the restaurant?
"Give me the contact for the bakery. I'll use it to surprise Khun Ying," Vichai said, clearly in a good mood. Ranee rolled her eyes dramatically and warned in a serious tone, "Don't even think about it, dear. Look at this mess. I'm a simple woman-just put it in a box or transfer it to my account, that's enough."
Everyone burst out laughing at Ranee's self-proclaimed 'simplicity.'
"I might have a million now, but I've never actually seen a million in cash before. Is this all it is? I thought it'd look like more," the little millionaire said, stroking the stack of money with fascination. Everyone smiled fondly as Samut leaned in to kiss Wonchana's cheek in gratitude.
After the party ended, the birthday boy stayed behind to help clean up, then carried Pada back home. Wonchana followed, holding the bag containing the stacks of money and other gifts. Once inside, he stored the money securely in the safe.
Samut, who had already taken the tiny Chihuahua into his house, walked back to ask, "P'Win, weren't you worried the bakery might run off with the money when you gave it to them?"
"That bakery has a great reputation, and I checked everything beforehand. I marked the stacks, and the bank seals are intact. We'll deposit it when we get back because we're flying out early tomorrow," Wonchana explained.
Samut threw his arms around the taller man, snuggling up to him. "Thank you, P'Win. I feel like I haven't done much for you at all."
Wonchana hugged the smaller figure gently and kissed the top of his head affectionately.
"What do you mean you haven't done anything? You've done so much... You've completed my life, made it full of joy. That's more than enough for me."
"Hmph, I love you, P'Win."
"But I love you more, Nuu O."
Samut smiled at the declaration of greater love, saying nothing in return. Instead, he stood on his tiptoes to give his lover a sweet, lingering kiss. As for the rest of the payment, they'd settle that in Phuket.
"O, explain to me what this 'plot to kidnap the Atcharangkul heir' is all about?"
Chonlatee demanded as soon as he saw Samut, whom he'd just picked up from the airport. Samut swallowed nervously and glanced at the tall figure beside him. He'd forgotten how big a news story it'd become. Of course, his brother would've seen it.
Wonchana had to step in and give a brief explanation of the entire situation. By the time he finished, Chonlatee's eye was twitching noticeably. Samut timidly asked his older brother, "Did Mom see the news?"
"Not yet. I didn't tell her," Chonlatee replied.
The little one walked over to hug his brother, pleading, "Then don't tell her, okay? I don't want her to worry-please."
Chonlatee sighed and hugged his younger brother back. "Fine, fine... And happy birthday, O. I hope you're happy and stay safe."
"Thank you...Let's hurry home. Mom is waiting," Samut concluded.
When they arrived home, however, Samut discovered that Sinee had already seen the news. When she questioned him in a calm tone, Samut used his charm to cuddle up to her, trying to soothe her. Meanwhile, Wonchana swallowed hard, feeling guilty for being the reason the little one had been put in danger. He summarised the situation for Sinee once again. After hearing the full story, the older woman didn't scold anyone; she simply sighed.
"What's wrong with people these days? Why are they getting crueller and crueller? I watch the news and can only sigh. A little disagreement, and they're ready to hurt each other so easily," she lamented.
"They're probably just crazy. The heat's getting worse every day," Chonlatee commented with resignation. Sinee turned to her youngest son, who was still hugging her. "Nuu O, you need to be more careful, okay? Always stay alert when you're out and about."
"Don't worry, Mom. I'll help keep an eye on him, too," Wonchana assured her firmly.
"Thank you, Win. So, how many nights are you staying?" Sinee asked.
"Two nights, Mom. Then P’Win's taking me to Phuket and Japan," Samur answered.
"My dad just approved extra vacation time for me. It was a bit last-minute; otherwise, I'd have invited you both to join us," Wonchana added.
Initially, when booking the plane tickets, he'd asked Samut if they should invite his mother and brother. But Samut had said that his mother didn't have a passport and likely wouldn't get one in time. Besides, she'd become quite a homebody and rarely went anywhere these days.
Sinee responded to her son's fiancé with a lighthearted tone, "You young men go ahead. Taking an old lady like me would just be a burden."
"Not at all, Mom. I don't do anything strenuous on trips-just a change of scenery and some good food. Next year, I'll take you to see the cherry blossoms. We'll go with my family, too. It'll be a big group, so it won't be a burden at all," Wonchana said, trying to win her over. Sinee smiled warmly at his thoughtfulness.
That night, they had another barbecue party. As usual, Sinee and Chonlatee transferred money to Samut, considering it the best form of support. Sinee trusted her youngest son, knowing he wasn't reckless with money. She saw it as a way of gradually distributing her inheritance, even though she was more than a million per cent confident that her two sons would never fight over it if anything happened to her.
"So, with the cake from yesterday, you're officially a hundred-millionaire this year, huh?" Chonlatee poked fun at his younger brother after seeing the cake photo on Facebook the night before and knowing the balance in Samut's account at the start of the year.
"I guess so," Samut replied, avoiding his brother's gaze. Chonlatee narrowed his eyes. "Or have you been one for a while now?"
"Heh... P'Win topped it up for me on Valentine's," the hundred-millionaire confessed sheepishly.
Wonchana wrapped an arm around the smaller man's shoulders in front of everyone and spoke as if discussing the weather. "Don't worry. I'll help manage his accounts. I guarantee he'll live comfortably for the rest of his life."
Sinee and Chonlatee could only sigh in relief.
..It truly was Samut’s fortune to have someone like Wonchana as his partner.
