Billionaire Biker Boy

Special Chapter 2 - The Newest Member.

Since that day, Samut's reaction to seeing cocoa had significantly improved. But now, it was Wonchana who felt jealous... jealous of the penguin plush that Little Chihuahua had been hugging instead of him for two nights straight.

"Nuu O, my babyyy," Wonchana called out as he snuggled up to Samut after returning from work on Friday evening.

"Yes?" Samut replied, still engrossed in chatting with his mother and older brother.

"Can I collect my instalment tonight?"

Samut’s fair cheeks flushed pink immediately, but he nodded. "Mhm."

"Let's shower together, okay? I'll help," Wonchana suggested. What could Samut say to that? He could only agree, blushing furiously.

And so, the jealous creditor scooped up his little debtor and proceeded to collect his instalment twice in a row, leaving the smaller man too exhausted to even search for the penguin plush that Wonchana had deliberately knocked off the bed. That night, Samut didn't hug the plush as usual. And in this round, Wonchana won against the penguin by a landslide.

Eventually, Samut discovered the truth: his large fiance had been jealous of the fluffy penguin plush that had stolen his nighttime cuddles. To resolve the issue, the smaller man decided to hug the penguin only while lounging with his phone or iPad. When it was time to sleep, he placed the plush at the head of the bed and turned to hug his living body pillow instead. This gesture made Wonchana adore him even more.

...What kind of reward should a good boy like this get?

So, on Sunday morning, after having breakfast with Vichai and Ranee and moving to relax in the living room, Wonchana asked Samut, "Nuu O, do you want to go home next week?"

It'd been a month since their trip to Hat Yai during Chinese New Year.

"Not yet. My mom said I should wait until after exams," Samut replied, suddenly feeling anxious. "...What if I don't pass, P'Win?"

Wonchana answered without hesitation, "Don't worry about it, O. If you don't pass, you can retake the exam. You can go back to work or just stay home-it's all fine. I can take care of you."

"That's right. I can take care of you, too," Ranee chimed in supportively. Samut turned to her with a pleading look. "Aww, if I don't pass, I'll go back to work. I can't just sit around doing nothing."

The taller man comforted him gently, "Do whatever makes you comfortable. Don't pressure yourself too much. Honestly, an MBA is better suited to people with at least 3 years of work experience. That's why you could only apply for the thesis-based program, and the thesis here is notoriously tough. I don't want you to stress yourself out."

Hearing this, Samut felt his anxiety ease. Suddenly, the sound of a LINE notification broke the moment. Seeing the sender's name, Samut smiled and quickly opened the message. But after typing a reply for a moment, he froze at the sight of a video that had been sent. Wonchana, hearing an indistinct sound from the phone, grew concerned and asked what was wrong. Samut handed him his phone to read.

Honey: O, what are you up to?

Not much. Just finished breakfast. : Ocean

Shark: I've got something to tell you.

What, are you two dating now? : Ocean

Honey: No!

Shark: (Shark sighing sticker)

So, what's up?: Ocean

Honey: @Shark You tell him. It's your business.

Shark: Here's the thing.

Shark: My little sister broke up with her boyfriend, and he flew back to Korea. She has a dog, less than a year old, but she doesn't want to keep it anymore. My condo and Honey's don't allow pets, so I wanted to ask if you're interested. It's a male, very sweet and well-trained. Free of charge, with all the supplies included. If you want him, I'll drive him over to your house.

Honey: [Dog video]

Wonchana played the video and saw a small cream-colored Chihuahua with short fur obediently following Jacques's commands. Its big, round black eyes bore an uncanny resemblance to someone he knew. When Wonchana looked up from the phone, he saw those familiar dark eyes gazing at him pleadingly.

"Do you want to take him in?" the ever considerate Wonchana asked. Samut hesitated before carefully choosing his words. "He's adorable, and I feel a connection... but I'm not sure if I can handle taking care of him. I can barely manage myself."

"What is it, dear? Taking care of what?" Ranee's voice chimed in.

"A dog. Someone's offering him to us," Vichai answered, showing the video to his wife. Ranee watched the video and smiled. "He's so cute. If you want to take him in, go ahead. There are plenty of people at home to help. He's just a tiny puppy-how much trouble could he be? And if we ever go on a trip and can't bring him along, there are plenty of good pet boarding places nearby."

Hearing this, Samut beamed. He turned to meet Wonchana's eyes again, and the taller man quickly nodded in encouragement. Ranee handed the phone back to Samut, who eagerly typed a reply and sent his location to the half-Thai man.

In less than an hour, Jacques arrived in a metallic-blonde SUV, parking at the Atcharangkul family's gate. Mathukorn stepped out first, carrying the tiny cream-colored puppy that could fit in one hand. Samut rushed over to greet the yoga instructor, his eyes sparkling as he stared at the little dog in Mathukorn's elegant hands. Wonchana, of course, recorded the moment on video.

The handsome man handed the tiny Chihuahua over to the larger Chihuahua. Samut carefully cradled the puppy, and as their eyes met, the little dog leaned forward to lick his new owner's cheek, as if pledging loyalty to the petite man. And that was the moment Samut fell in love.

"He's so cute!" the smaller man exclaimed "He really is. Look at him-what a charmer," Ranee commented as she joined them. The two visitors quickly greeted the elder couple, who returned the gesture warmly. Wonchana formally introduced them again, and once the introductions were done, Vichai nodded toward the puppy in Samut's arms with interest.

"What's his name?"

"His name's Pada. It means 'sea' in Korean, but you can change it if you want. He's not even a year old yet," Jacques explained. Samut's eyes widened at the name, and he quickly declared, "No need to change it... right, my little sea doggo?"

Wonchana smirked and teased, "I thought you'd name him something that means 'ocean' so I'll have two Oceans with me."

Samut shot him a glare. "No way. It'd be confusing. Right, Pada?" He turned to the puppy, speaking in a soft, cute voice, which made Wonchana's heart flutter all over again. I've just won against the penguin, and now this?

Jacques then explained the basics of caring for the dog, as he had experience with pets. He retrieved a dog toilet tray with a grid from the car and asked where to place it. Once decided, he set it down and instructed Samut to place Pada near it to familiarise him with his personal bathroom. The cream-colored Chihuahua sniffed around, circled twice, and then sat down to pee on the tray.

"Isn't he male? Why doesn't he lift his leg to pee?" Wonchana asked Jacques.

"Not sure. My sister said he grew up around female dogs. Oh, and it's best to keep the gate closed when he's outside. Even though Pada's well-behaved and trained, energetic small dogs can get easily spooked and run off," Jacques advised.

Wonchana closed the gate and then helped Jacques carry all of Pada's belongings into the house. The supplies were extensive: a portable crate, a bed, leashes, clothes, food and water bowls, leftover kibble, training treats, toys, a training manual, and a vaccination record book.

"His next annual vaccination is in five months. He hasn't had heartworm prevention shots because my sister kept him in a condo with no mosquitoes. You might want to consult a vet about that," Jacques suggested after unloading everything.

"Got it. Please thank your sister for me," Samut said, feeling grateful. "I promise to take good care of him."

Jacques sighed. "It's my sister who should thank you for taking on this responsibility. Jackie's a flight attendant and travels a lot, so she didn't have much time to care for him. Her boyfriend used to take care of Pada, but after they broke up and he returned to his country, he didn't take Pada with him."

As they chatted, Pada finished his business and was cleaned up by P'Waew under Ranee's instructions. The little dog then wandered back and sat at the feet of the Atcharangkul family patriarch, who was seated on a garden chair. Vichai, now smitten, bent down to pet the tiny dog affectionately, making Mathukorn chuckle softly.

"This new kid knows exactly who to charm," he remarked.

Everyone turned to look and saw Pada closing his eyes contentedly, leaning against Vichai's leg as the elderly man stroked his head with a smile.

"It's a shame my condo doesn't allow dogs," Mathukorn said wistfully.

"If you can't keep a dog, why not keep a shark instead?" teased the big shark, who longed to be adopted. The petite man giggled at that, while the beautiful man who wanted a dog could only glare before walking off to play with the tiny Chihuahua. He refused to respond in a way that might expose his feelings, leaving the ownerless shark sulking with a pout.

Samut leaned in and whispered helpfully, "Since you brought me the puppy, I'll share a secret about P'Honey with you." The smaller man put on a serious face.

"...' Honey loves desserts with fresh cream. Cream with strawberries sandwiches are his absolute favourite, choux cream comes second, and mousse cakes are third. The rest depends on your skills, P'Shark."

"He doesn't seem like the foodie type..."

The words 'like you' were swallowed just in time.

"You'll never know unless you try."

Samut shrugged, losing interest in the shark who only wanted a taste of honey. He then took his fiancé's hand and walked over to join the group surrounding the tiny Chihuahua. The half-Thai man could only sigh as he watched them. What else could he do but wait, having fallen for someone with a wounded heart?

"So, are you going to visit Oat?" Samut whispered to Mathukorn after the Atcharangkul patriarch invited the two guests to stay for lunch.

Wonchana and Ranee took charge of choosing the restaurant, selecting the menu, and ordering delivery to the house. Meanwhile, Vichai sat reading in a reclined chair, the tiny Chihuahua snuggled on his lap. Samut led the guests to sit on the sofa and chat.

Mathukorn paused for a moment before replying slowly, "I'm not sure. There's no reason for me to go. I don't even know what I'd go for. I don't need an apology or an explanation. I've moved past that point."

"But sometimes... Accepting an apology can help you let go of what's still weighing on your heart. It can help you move on," Samut said softly. "When I went to meet him, it was to unlock my own heart. I needed to understand why he hurt me. I'm not saying this for Oat's sake, but for yours, P'Honey."

"Thank you. I know you mean well, O... Let me sleep on it and think it over. I'll let you know what I decide, okay?"

The teacher and student exchanged understanding smiles, while the half-Thai man listened quietly.

After lunch, the guests thanked their hosts and said their goodbyes before leaving. Samut then had time to play with the newest member of the household, holding a training treat in his hand, hidden from the little sea doggo's view.

"Sit, Pada. Sit down."

At Samut’s command, the tiny Chihuahua tilted his head in confusion, standing still. The new owner turned to the taller man. "Why won't he sit, P'Win? Do I need to give the command in Korean?"

"In the video, Shark gave the commands in Thai, didn't he?" Wonchana replied with a smile, already knowing the reason for the dog's disobedience. Samut tried again, but the result was the same. Pada just stood there, staring with wide, curious eyes.

"Pada, sit!"

Wonchana's deep, firm voice rang out, accompanied by a pointed finger. Instantly, Pada obediently sat down, leaving Samut gaping in disbelief.

"Why does he have double standards?"

Samut’s exclamation made Vichai and Ranee laugh. Wonchana then explained, "It's because you're giving commands in a soft voice. That's not a command. You need to establish yourself as his pack leader...Come here, I'll teach you."

The pack leader then demonstrated how to give commands and use hand signals. As Jacques had mentioned, the tiny dog was well-trained. It didn't take long for Samut to successfully command Pada to play dead. The treat in his small hand was promptly given to the tiny Chihuahua, who lay down obediently.

"Aww, Pada, you're the best boy! But, P'Win, you're even better... How do you know so much about dogs? Have you had one before?" Samut looked up and asked.

Wonchana smiled and gave a slightly evasive answer, not wanting his parents to feel guilty about the past.

"I've always wanted a dog but never had one. We moved houses a lot, and then I got busy with school, so I never asked my parents for one. But I love watching Cesar Millan's dog training shows, so I picked up some techniques."

Vichai and Ranee paused for a moment, surprised to learn that their eldest son had wanted a dog. But seeing that he showed no signs of regret or hurt, they simply smiled as they watched their son and his small fiancé play with the tiny Chihuahua.

That night, Samut placed Pada's bed and a soft towel in the corner of the room on his side. Wonchana carried the freshly cleaned puppy into the room and introduced him to his new sleeping spot.

Pada sniffed around the familiar bed, circling it thoughtfully before stepping in and lying down. Samut sighed in relief that Pada didn't feel out of place and started whining. Even though Wonchana wanted a dog, he didn't want Samut to let the puppy sleep on the bed with them.

Luckily, Samut had already said he wouldn't let Pada on the bed, worried he might accidentally roll over and crush the tiny dog. But the real reason the smaller man insisted was...He didn't want P'Win to feel neglected as he had with the penguin plush!
