Billionaire Biker Boy
Chapter 58 - Are You Trying to Be Cupid?
That same afternoon, Nittaya was summoned by Bodin for another meeting at the Humán Resources department. Bodin informed her that her actions constituted a disciplinary violation. While her intentions mightn't have been to defraud the company, her behaviour had undermined the company's trust in her ability to continue in her current role. However, her contract wouldn't be terminated. Her penalty was a transfer to another position with no salary increase and a one-year bonus suspension.
Nittaya pressed her lips tightly together. What else could she do but accept her fate? After all, she'd brought this upon herself. She knew this was already a lenient punishment, but the thought of working through the year in such a demoralised state was unbearable.
..Better to find a new job first, then resign.
She returned to her desk to quietly pack her belongings, with Rujee accompanying her to supervise. From that day forward, Nittaya would no longer have access to the procurement department. Her colleagues watched with curiosity but refrained from asking questions, especially the new, petite employee who had been absent for most of the morning.
Meanwhile, Sirichok, still at home, received a call informing him that he had been suspended and was under investigation for disciplinary violations, including accepting bribes from other companies and engaging in morally inappropriate behaviour. The young man was thunderstruck and demanded to know what had happened. The response was that a complaint had been filed accusing him of soliciting bribes from Sardina's partners. Although HR didn't disclose the complainant's identity, Sirichok clenched his fists tightly.
...Who else could it be but Suwit or Jenjira?
He wanted to call and confront them, but there was still the matter of the final payment hanging over his head.
...What should I do now?
Currently, he has just over 300,000 baht in his account. If he wanted to find a new job in Bangkok, he'd still have to stay in a house that was no longer a safe zone for him. He couldn't consult anyone, not even his family. Frustrated, he ruffled his hair in agitation, knowing he'd have to face the company's investigation the next day.
...Or should I just run away?
Then his phone rang, startling him. He glanced at the screen...
...It was an unregistered number.
He answered the call, and a familiar, furious voice erupted on the other end.
"You bastard! You're such a lying piece of shit! You pocketed all the money, didn't you? Fine, the first two payments were because I got the orders, but I didn't get anything for the last one. I'll give you one last chance. Transfer the money back to me within an hour, and we're done. If you don't, you'll regret it!"
Suwit hung up before Sirichok could utter a single word. Sirichok's hand tightened around his phone, his knuckles turning white. At this point, there was no hope for his job at the company; everything would be exposed. He knew Suwit wouldn't stop harassing him, but there was no way he'd return the money to that old man. He needed it as a safety net.
Determined, Sirichok began packing his clothes, valuables, and personal documents into a suitcase once again. I'll take my chances elsewhere.
So, when Tuesday came, and it was time for him to attend the company's investigation, Sirichok didn't show up. If they wanted to seize his employment bond, so be it-it was his father's money, not his.
He waited until nightfall, when everyone in the house had gone to their rooms, before sneaking out with his suitcase to catch the Skytrain. He didn't have a destination yet, but he needed to change his location first. He'd already arranged for a cheap place to stay. As he walked toward the nearby skytrain station...
...Sirichok was ambushed and beaten.

[Tuesday evening]
Four days had passed since Mathukorn had gone silent. The beautiful-faced man finally messaged Samut, saying he'd be coming back to teach. Not because he was fully over it, but because his substitute wasn't available.
Samut, who had just reached the 18th floor, was busy typing a reply to the chat. He plopped down on the sofa, not bothering to deliver his usual 'instalment' to the room's owner. This left the creditor, who was working at his desk, glancing over with a mix of curiosity and mild irritation.
...Getting all smiley, who is he chatting with?
Wonchana paused his work, set down his pen, and cleared his throat loudly. "If you have a sore throat, you should drink warm water," came the cheeky reply from across the room.
Unable to hold back any longer, the tall man got up from his executive chair and approached the sofa where the smaller figure was lounging, engrossed in his phone. He leaned down, pinning the petite man beneath him. Not to collect the instalment, but to tickle his waist, making the smaller man squirm like a worm on hot ashes.
"Ahhh! P'Win! Hahaha!"
When Samut laughed until tears streamed down his face, Wonchana stopped and leaned in to plant a kiss.
"That's for not paying your instalment. Now, who were you chatting with, smiling like that?"
"Jealous, ehhhhh?" Samut wiped his tears and teased.
"Of course I'm jealous. Very jealous. But I don't show it," the jealous man admitted bluntly.
Samut rolled his eyes dramatically. ..Yeah, sure. He then wrapped his arms around the taller man's neck and said, "P'Honey's coming back to teach today. I'm planning to set him up with P'Shark so they can meet."
On Saturday, Samut had been chatting with Jacques and jovially asked if he still didn't have a boyfriend. From their conversation, he learned that Jacques had recently broken up with his boyfriend because the long-distance relationship didn't work-Jacques often had to travel to other provinces.
Samut had then asked...
Should I introduce a beauty to you, P'Shark? : Ocean
Shark: Hmm? I like men, you know.
Shark: Especially small, cute ones like you, O
Shark: Legit my type, no cap.
Hey, stop it! : Ocean
This could get me in trouble.: Ocean
The one I'm introducing is also a man.: Ocean
But he's beautiful and delicate.: Ocean
Shark: Hmm. Not my type.
Not so fast.: Ocean
He's a good person. Cute, too. : Ocean
He just got his heart broken yesterday. : Ocean
Shark: Are you trying to play matchmaker?
So, are you interested?: Ocean
Shark: Hmm, Am I?
Ugh. I hope you strike out. : Ocean
Shark: Aww, O, I'm sorry. My bad.
Shark: (Sticker of a remorseful shark)
And so, Samut had just messaged Jacques to let him know that the beauty was back at the fitness centre today. If he was interested, he could come meet him.
"Are you trying to be Cupid?" Wonchana asked before leaning in to inhale the scent of Samut’s cheek and neck, his arms braced on either side of the smaller man, who lay sprawled on the sofa.
Samut wrapped his arms around his boyfriend's neck and replied, "I just want to see people in love. And if the shark ends up liking honey, then you won't have to be jealous anymore."
"Even without the shark, I'd still be jealous. Jealous, possessive, and worried."
"You don't need to be jealous or possessive. I only like you," Samut reassured him. And then he leaned in to pay his 'instalment,' leaving the jealous man satisfied.
Samut looked at Mathukorn, who, though still a bit weary, seemed much better than the day of the incident. The petite man immediately turned on his charm.
"P’Honey, after class, let's grab something to eat. My treat! What do you feel like eating?"
Mathukorn chuckled softly and declined. "No need, O. You should go with Mr Win. I don't want to be a third wheel."
"No way! Actually, one of P'Win's friends will be there too. P'Win asked me to invite you so he wouldn't feel awkward. Come on, let's have fun together. Please? Pretty please?"
Mathukorn smiled faintly.
..Better than going back to wilt in my room, I guess.
When Mathukorn agreed, Samut cheered in delight. After the yoga class, the two changed clothes, and Samut led Mathukorn to the lounge. Upon seeing two tall men chatting, Samut quickly introduced them.
"P'Shark, this is P'Honey, my aerial yoga instructor. P'Honey, this is P'Jacques, or Jack. He's half-French, a journalist, and probably a famous travel YouTuber. But I renamed him Shark, haha."
Samut was surprised to see Mathukorn looking uneasy. The two exchanged stiff greetings, Mathukorn with a scowl and Jacques with an infuriatingly blank expression. Wonchana wrapped an arm around Samut’s waist and suggested, "Let's head to that Vietnamese place near Langsuan, shall we, O?"
"Sounds good! You all seem like health-conscious types."
When they reached the parking lot, where two big motorbikes were parked, Mathukom hesitated. The beautiful man whispered softly to Samut, "O, can I back out? I'm scared of riding motorbikes."
Before Samut could respond, Jacques, who had sharp ears, handed Mathukorn a spare helmet and said in a calm but clear voice, "I think I saw you riding on the back of a motorbike around Silom the other day, Mr Honey."
Jacques leaned in close and whispered into Mathukorn's ear, "If you don't come willingly, I'll spill everything."
The beautiful-faced man's eyes widened in shock before he clenched his teeth in frustration. In the end, Mathukorn reluctantly put on the helmet and climbed onto the large motorbike, with Jacques extending his arm for him to hold onto. All of this unfolded under Samut's suspicious gaze.
...These two must've known each other before.
...Oh well, even if the mission doesn't succeed, at least I've done my part as a good Cupid.
When Sirichok opened his eyes, the first thing he saw was the white ceiling above him. The hum of the air conditioner filled the otherwise silent room. As he glanced around, he noticed several gurneys with green cushions and blue covers. The blue curtains were drawn halfway, preventing him from seeing much else. The only thing he could discern was that this was a hospital's emergency room.
He tried to move, but a sharp pain shot through his ribs, making him groan softly. Slowly, his hazy memories began to come into focus.
..He'd been attacked.
There were three of them. They cornered him, held a knife to his back, and forced him into a secluded alley. They threatened him to transfer money to an account under Suwit's name, the exact amount of the final payment Suwit had sent him. Then they demanded an additional thirty thousand baht to another account, claiming it was their fee.
Once the transfers were complete, they threatened him again, saying this was payback for deceiving a kind- hearted woman.
..And then they beat him until he lost consciousness.
Slowly, Sirichok tried to sit up, but a nurse approached him quickly.
"You're awake, sir? Please wait a moment. Your family is on their way. For now, lie back down, and I'll call the doctor."
Not long after, the doctor arrived with a police officer. The doctor examined him again and confirmed that there were no fractures, only bruises and a few cuts. Shortly after, Chuleepon rushed in, panting heavily.
"Oat! What happened? Weren't you supposed to be in bed?"
Sirichok hesitated before replying to his mother, "I was leaving the house. Dad doesn't want me there anyway. How could I stay and face him?"
The police officer sighed audibly before interrupting, "Excuse me, but could you tell us what happened? Do you remember anything?"
Sirichok swallowed hard. Luckily, Suwit had only sent people to beat him and take the money back. If he wanted to stay alive, he should probably follow their instructions, right?
..Fine, I'll figure it out later.
"Is my bag still here?"
When he was told that his bag had arrived with the ambulance, thanks to a good Samaritan who had called for help, Sirichok swallowed again. ...I was walking to the Skytrain station when I ran into three drunk guys. They started a fight with me, and after that, I don't remember anything."
"Do you remember what they looked like?"
Sirichok pretended to massage his temples and shook his head. "It all happened so fast."
The middle-aged officer sighed and said he'd file a report. Sirichok nodded along, going with the flow. Once the officer and doctor left, Chuleepon gently rubbed his back.
"Why did you do this, Oat? Your father won't stay angry for long. Once he calms down, just apologise properly, and he'll forgive you."
Sirichok sat with his head down. The old issues hadn't even been resolved yet, and if his father found out he was under investigation for fraud at work, things would only get worse. Even though part of it was Suwit's fault, he didn't want to stay in a house with such palpable tension anymore.
"No, Mom. I'm going to live on my own. Please help cover the hospital bill for now, and I'll contact you later."
Chuleepon had no choice but to comply with her son's request. Once everything was settled, Sirichok took a taxi to the cheap apartment he'd arranged to rent. Dragging his suitcase into the room, he cleaned himself up in the bathroom. When he finally lay down on the mattress, tears began to flow.
... the blink of an eye, everything that had once been beautiful had crumbled
..Where did it all go wrong?
════[changbins_delulu_wife]════
When Samut returned to the condo, he let out a long sigh, which made Wonchana chuckle.
"Why do you look so defeated, Cupid?"
Wonchana asked, pulling the little Cupid into a hug as he sat down on the sofa.
"Ugh, P'Win, don't rub it in. This little Cupid is frustrated," Samut leaned back against the broad chest. This matchmaking attempt had been quite a flop. Although the half-French man had tried to be attentive and accommodating, Mathukorn remained cold and distant. When it was time to part ways, the beautiful-faced man had tried to hail a taxi, but Jacques grabbed his slender arm and dragged him onto the large motorbike. They had a brief argument, which Samut didn't dare interrupt. In the end, the land shark managed to take the honey jar home with him.
Wonchana chuckled softly and said, "You never know. I think you might've succeeded after all."
Samut pouted. "Succeeded? They looked like they were about to fight."
"They probably knew each other before and might have some unresolved issues. But I think... the shark is quite interested in honey."
"Really?" Samut looked up at his boyfriend with wide, curious eyes.
"Really," Wonchana confirmed before leaning in to nuzzle and collect his 'instalment.
Samut responded enthusiastically, and when the taller man finally pulled back, the smaller one hesitantly asked, "P'Win, are you staying over tonight?"
Wonchana lifted his face to meet those beautiful eyes. He could see a flicker of desire, but knew the person in front of him wasn't ready yet. Teasingly, he said, "Are you trying to test my patience?"
The Little Chihuahua snuggled closer and asked sweetly, "Why do you need to be patient?"
"Are you really ready, O? I want to wait until you're ready. I want to wait until you move in with me because I've told you I'm serious. Even though Thailand doesn't have a marriage equality law yet, I want to do things properly."
Samut lowered his gaze, his long lashes trembling slightly. "I'm not really ready yet, but I don't want you to have to hold back."
The smaller man knew well that sometimes the tall man in front of him had to suppress his deeper feelings. How could he not know when he felt the same?
"Don't worry about me. I'm good at being patient, you know," Wonchana tightened his embrace and kissed the petite man's temple lovingly. All the times he'd been affectionate with Samut were just to help him get used to physical intimacy, not to push things too far. Then Samut made a decision. The smaller man climbed onto Wonchana's lap, wrapping his arms around the thick neck. Blushing deeply, he whispered into his ear, "There are ways that don't have to go all the way, you know."
This time, Wonchana didn't hold back. He wrapped his arms around the person on his lap with all the love in his heart. Their lips met again, the kiss growing deeper and more passionate. The gentle caresses only intensified the heat between them.
Wonchana's hands slipped under the hem of Samut’s small shirt, touching the soft, bare skin of his back for the first time with reverence. Samut clumsily tried to pull off the taller man's shirt, so Wanchana helped him, revealing his muscular, toned body. The smaller man ran his hands over it possessively. When the shirt was finally removed, Wanchana lifted him by the waist and carried him to the nearby bedroom.
And there, Wonchana introduced the smaller man to a new. wondrous experience in the magic of love.
