Billionaire Biker Boy
Chapter 54 - The Drama.
On Friday morning, Sirichok felt an inexplicable irritation gnawing at him. Since New Year's, both Jenjira and Mathukorn have been acting differently. On top of that, Mathukorn had refused to be intimate with him, claiming he felt unwell. This left Sirichok in such a sour mood that his coworkers couldn't help but notice. By late morning, he packed up his things to head out for lunch with Jenjira. The lunch was painfully awkward. Jenjira criticised everything, finding fault with every little thing. Neither of them managed to finish even half their meal.
"What's wrong with you today, Jen? Why're you so irritable?" Sirichok asked, trying to appease her.
...Could it be her period?
"I don't know. I just feel annoyed for no reason," she replied.
"Is it because of me?"
"No," she dismissed him.
"Then how about we grab some dessert? Would that cheer you up?" he suggested, trying to lighten the mood.
"Hmm, okay. Let's go to that dessert place under the building, the one where you bought me those delicious treats before," she said, referring to the coffee shop under the building that sold a variety of tasty desserts from different places. Although Sirichok was a bit nervous about possibly running into Nittaya there, he didn't have many options. If push came to shove, he'd just have to tell them that Jenjira was from Frost Foods Products. Still, he warned her to avoid any unnecessary problems.
"Oh, but when we get there, don't act too lovey-dovey with me, okay? Your parents are dealing with Sardina, and I've told people here that Frost Foods Products is a relative's company, not my girlfriend's. It could cause issues otherwise."
"What? Why didn't I know about this?" Jenjira exclaimed, shocked.
...So her father's fondness for Sirichok was because of some mutual business benefit?
"It's not that important. I'm just acting as a middleman to give Frost Foods Products a chance to get some work, that's all," he explained.
Jenjira fell silent for a long moment before deciding that things had to move forward. She couldn't continue dating Sirichok any longer, even if it affected her parents' business.
...My parents would be disappointed either way.
..And the fact that we can't act lovey-dovey means there's a third party working here, doesn't it?
Her phone buzzed. Jenjira glanced at the notification and quickly swiped it away.
"Alright, let's go. I want something sweet and cold to drink. Maybe it'll improve my mood."
"Sure," Sirichok replied, calling for the check. Unaware of what was about to unfold in the next ten minutes.
"And a mint cocoa in a takeaway cup, please," Samut’s chirpy voice rang out as he placed his order at the coffee shop under the building. He'd already ordered a 25 per cent sweet cocoa in a thermal cup, with his tall boyfriend, who had joined him for lunch at the canteen, paying.
"Add a bit more mint syrup, please," the petite man added.
"Why mint cocoa?" the payer asked, curious.
...The little one had initially said he'd order a green cream soda.
"I tried it once and didn't like it, but I want to give it another shot," Samut admitted, looking guilty. "…Just in case it's not as bad as I remember."
'Pft.' The tall man couldn't help but laugh, knowing full well the little drama that was about to unfold in the next few minutes. After all, he'd helped direct this little play himself.
Once they got their drinks, the two of them sat down cosily at a table by the walkway in front of the shop, offering a clear view of the building's interior. Wonchana held a thermal cup with a cute dog design, filled with 25 per cent sweet iced cocoa, while Samut held a clear cup with the shop's logo. The drink inside had a thick green mint milk layer at the bottom and a nearly black cocoa layer on top.
Once seated, Samut opened the lid, inserted a straw right where the two colours met, stirred a little, and took a sip. As the colourful drink slid down his throat, Wonchana watched as Samut's face scrunched up, his eyes squinting and his body shivering. The petite man hastily grabbed the dog-designed cup from Wonchana's hand and took two big gulps to cleanse his palate.
"Ugh, it tastes so awful!" Samut exclaimed, tears welling up in his eyes.
"That bad?"
"Try it, P'Win. I guarantee it's so bad you'll cry," Samut said, pouting. Wonchana chuckled but followed the suggestion. He found the taste odd, but not as repulsive as Samut had made it out to be.
"It's like drinking milk while brushing your teeth," he commented.
"Right? But it gives me chills. I give up." Samut rubbed his arms as goosebumps rose. Wonchana casually took a sip of the cocoa in Samut’s hand to cleanse his own palate. And just then, the main characters of the drama appeared. Sirichok walked in with a sweet-faced woman they'd once seen at the Ban Phaeo Suan Prow restaurant.
Sirichok sighed inwardly. He'd forgotten that, besides Nittaya, he also had to be wary of Samut, who knew he had a boyfriend named Mathukorn. But when Samut caught his eye, the petite man acted completely indifferent, turning back to chat sweetly with his own boyfriend as if nothing had happened
Sirichok exhaled in relief... Safe.
"What do you want to drink, Jen?" Sirichok asked the woman, who was scanning the menu.
"Lime soda with sala syrup," she replied.
"What about dessert?"
"No, I don't feel like eating anything. Just the drink is fine."
Sirichok placed the order and paid. Once Jenjira got her drink, she started to smile. She inserted the straw and took a sip, but after just one gulp, she frowned slightly. "I forgot to ask for less sweetness."
"Oh, I forgot, too. Want to get a new one?"
"No, it's fine. I can drink this," Jenjira said. At that moment, Mathukorn walked in carrying two bags of desserts. He approached Samut and placed the bags on the table. "Hello, O. I brought you some desserts. Could you pass one of these to Oat for me?"
Samut smiled at the free treats and replied, "Thank you, P'Honey. But Oat's here, too. You should give it to him yourself." Then the petite man turned toward the counter and shouted loudly across the shop.
"...Oat! Your boyfriend's here with desserts for you!"
Sirichok whipped around in shock and hurried over to Mathukorn, leaving Jenjira behind. When he reached them, Mathukorn greeted him with a sweet smile and immediately clung to his arm affectionately. "I was out running errands and came across some delicious desserts, so I bought some for both you and O."
Jenjira suddenly stormed over, shoving Mathukorn away and grabbing Sirichok's arm instead. She yelled loudly, "Who are you? Why are you clinging to my boyfriend like this? Have you no shame?"
"Boyfriend? Who's your boyfriend?" Mathukorn parroted, looking confused before retorting,
"...Oat is my boyfriend. See? We even have matching rings."
Mathukorn grabbed Sirichok's left hand
..No matching ring... not on the right hand either.
Mathukorn's face turned pale as he looked up at his boyfriend
"Where's your ring, Oat?"
Sirichok, caught in the middle, stammered. How could he respond when Jenjira was standing right there? If he told Mathukorn he'd forgotten to wear it, he'd lose Jenjira. But if he denied knowing about the ring, he'd lose Mathukorn. What Sirichok didn't notice was the couple standing nearby, watching the scene unfold with interest. One of them even raised their phone to record the drama. While Sirichok stammered, Jenjira clung to his arm.
"Oat, what's going on? Whose boyfriend are you? Tell me now!"
As Sirichok hesitated, Mathukorn stepped forward and shoved Jenjira.
"Oat's my boyfriend!"
"You shameless liar! Oat is my boyfriend! We're about to get married!" Jenjira pushed Mathukorn back.
And so, the sweet-faced woman and the beautiful-faced man began fighting, with the playboy standing in the middle, trying to separate the two as they pulled hair and clawed at each other. Everyone in the building's lobby stood at a distance, watching with concern. Even the security guards didn't dare intervene when they saw Mr Vice President subtly raise his hand to signal them to stay out of it.
"Stop it, Jen! Honey, calm down!"
Sirichok, who had taken quite a few hits, including a long scratch on his cheek from Jenjira's nails, tried to break up the fight. The two combatants finally stopped, panting heavily. Neither of them bore any significant injuries, aside from their dishevelled hair. And then Samut rushed over with his mint cocoa. "P'Honey, calm down. Let's talk this out. People are watching," he said, trying to mediate.
Mathukorn glanced at the nosy little man for a moment before saying, "O, may I?"
Then the pretty man grabbed the mint cocoa, which had its lid conveniently removed, from Samut’s hand and splashed it onto Sirichok's face. The brownish-green drink splattered all over him, staining his light blue and white striped shirt. His appearance was now... less than presentable.
Jenjira barely managed to dodge in time.
"Oops!" Samut exclaimed theatrically, though he couldn't help but feel a pang of pity for the man in front of him. It was hard to believe that he'd once loved this man for so many years.
Then Mathukorn's voice, sharp with fury and bitterness, rang out across the room. "You piece of crap! I trusted you, thought you were my true love, but in the end, you're just like every other man. Is it fun juggling multiple relationships? I gave you everything-money, gifts, support-never letting you lack anything. Why are you so ungrateful?"
Tears, drawn from the deepest corners of Mathukorn's heart, streamed down his face. He looked at Sirichok with a shattered expression before declaring, "From now on, we're strangers. If we meet anywhere, don't even think about greeting me."
Then the beautiful man turned to Jenjira. "As for you, I don't want this man anymore. If you want him, take him. He's all yours."
Jenjira, her hair dishevelled from Mathukorn's earlier tussling, feigned shock before shouting back even louder.
“No l don't want a man like this. What makes you think you can just dump your trash on me? If this stayed with him. I'd have to constantly worry about when he'd sneak off with someone else. Who could stand that?"
She turned to Sirichok and announced loudly and clearly, "Sirichok, we're done. There won't be any wedding!"
Then she grabbed the glass of soda from a nearby table and poured it over the back of Sirichok's head. The bright red liquid trickled down his back as he stood frozen in place.
"Consider this my goodbye gift. Don't ever bother me again."
With that, she stormed out of the building, her heels clicking sharply against the floor. Mathukorn, who had been staring at his now ex-lover with a pained expression, turned and walked away as well, with the tiny Samut trailing behind him.
"P'Honey... wait for me!"
Meanwhile, the orchestrator of the scene, Wonchana, let out a melodramatic sigh. He waved over the coffee shop staff, who were still dumbstruck by the spectacle, and said, "Could you please bring some paper towels or a cloth for this man to clean himself up? Otherwise, he'll track sticky mess all over the building... Oh, and consider this compensation for the trouble my company's employees caused you by making such a mess."
Wonchana handed the staff two 1,000-baht bills, which they accepted with grateful bows. The coffee shop staff quickly sprang into action, bringing large paper towels for Sirichok to clean himself, along with rags, a dustpan, a bucket of water, and a mop to clean up the spilt drinks and ice on the floor.
The crowd of onlookers began to disperse now that the drama had concluded. Wonchana picked up the dog-patterned cup belonging to the petite man and the two bags of desserts Mathukorn had left behind. He glanced at Sirichok, who was silently wiping himself down with the paper towels.
..In this state, he probably doesn't have the appetite for dessert anymore.
..Figuring out how to get himself home should be his priority.
The vice president, who had also played the role of stage director, let out another exaggerated sigh before addressing Sirichok with a neutral expression.
"Once you're done cleaning up, just go home. I'll inform your supervisor about the situation... Oh, and I'd advise you to sort yourself out first."
Wonchana's final words carried an authoritative tone. "...Because this incident has caused significant disruption and damage to the company's image. Although you're not married or officially registered with anyone, your behaviour violates the company's code of ethics. That said, don't worry too much. This will likely be considered a minor disciplinary issue, not severe enough to warrant termination."
With that, the vice president sauntered off, holding the cup and bags, and headed straight for the elevator, leaving the man whose two relationships had just crumbled to pieces. It wasn't just about being dumped... or losing his financial safety net.
..Even his career was now at risk.
