Billionaire Biker Boy

Chapter 53 - Don't Go as Far as Hitting Him.

Before noon on New Year's Day, a Sunday, Sirichok had an appointment with Mathukorn. He'd rescheduled the date with Jenjira the day before since Mathukorn had urgent work. However, yesterday, Jenjira seemed to be in a bad mood, snapping at him in a way she never had before.

...Could it be that she wants me to take things to the next level?

In the six months they'd been dating, although Jenjira had shown affection and fondness, she was quite reserved and refused to be intimate before marriage. Fortunately, her parents still provided benefits, and Mathukorn was willing to be intimate with him, so Sirichok wasn't exactly deprived

Sirichok glanced at the clock... Mathukorn was never late. He opened the LINE app and typed a message to Mathukorn.

Where are you, Honey? : Oat

Honey: Sorry, I overslept.

Honey: Leaving my room now.

Should I come to your room instead? : Oat

Honey: No, it's fine. Let's meet at the usual spot.

Honey: We can grab something to eat, too.

Alright, I'll wait by the fountain.: Oat

Honey: Okay, just wait a bit.

Sirichok scrolled through Twitter while waiting for nearly half an hour before Mathukorn finally arrived. He was on the verge of irritation, but seeing Mathukorn's weary face instantly softened his mood.

"Honey, are you really tired? You look drained," Sirichok raised a hand to gently stroke the pale cheek.

"Just a bit. That's why I overslept," Mathukorn replied.

"You should've told me. I could've brought food to your room."

"Nah, I wanted to get out and walk a bit. It's relaxing," Mathukorn said with a small smile.

"So, what do you feel like eating?"

Normally, Mathukorn would tease him by saying he wanted to eat Oat, but today the beautiful-faced man simply replied, "Let's have tonkatsu."

Sirichok chuckled softly. "Didn't you say you didn't want fried food?"

"Well, today I feel like it. I want to be a little rebellious, see if it makes things better."

Though he sensed a slight edge in Mathukorn's tone, Sirichok understood that he was probably just tired and irascible. Without saying much, he led the way to a famous tonkatsu restaurant. Once they'd ordered, Mathukorn pulled out his phone and started scrolling, paying little attention to Sirichok as usual.

"Hey, Oat, did you see that O just announced online that he's dating his boyfriend? They're so sweet it's over-the-top. Both families even approve. I'm so jealous," Mathukorn said, briefly showing his screen.

"What?!" Sirichok exclaimed in mild shock, then adjusted his tone. "They've already gone public? That's fast. How long have they even known each other?"

“Well, Mr Win was pretty persistent in courting him... But honestly, they're slower than us. It's just that your family doesn't accept this kind of thing," Mathukorn remarked casually.

Sirichok pulled out his phone and opened the app. Luckily, he'd switched accounts earlier that morning, so he could directly access Samut’s timeline. It immediately displayed Samut’s new relationship status, along with several photos.

"In a Relationship with Win Chana Today'

The first photo showed two hands linking pinkies, both wrists adorned with matching bracelets featuring complementary letter pendants. The background was a beautiful garden that Sirichok recognised as the municipal park in Hat Yai.

The second photo was of a barbecue party, with Chonlatee, Sinee, Samutr, and Wonchana sitting together, all smiling brightly.

The third photo showed the Atcharangkul family gathered in front of a Christmas tree at home, with Samut sitting close to Khun Ying, who had her arm around his small shoulders, and a little girl sitting on Samut’s lap.

The final photo showed two phones placed side by side, with both screens displaying pictures of the two men kissing each other on the cheek.

Sirichok gripped his phone tightly, unsure of what he was feeling inside.

..Jealousy? Envy? Or just plain annoyance?

"But O really is adorable. No wonder Mr Win is so smitten," Mathukorn commented while still scrolling. "It’s strange, though. Why didn't you and O ever date? Your best friends, didn't you ever feel anything for him?"

"Hmm, maybe we're just not meant to be. Sometimes being friends is better," Sirichok replied, going along with the flow.

Mathukorn reached out to help receive the dishes as the staff began serving.

...Then he turned back with a syrupy sweet smile.

"But it's lucky for O. He got to meet and date Mr Win, no need to hide and sneak around as I do with you."

And so, the New Year holiday was coming to an end. Wonchana and Samut were set to fly back to Bangkok on Monday morning, with Sinee entrusting her youngest son to his 'brand-new boyfriend' with full confidence.

"Win, I'm counting on you to take care of O, okay? If he doesn't listen to you, you can scold him, but don't go as far as hitting him. He'll listen to reason," Sinee said.

Wonchana chuckled softly before replying, "Of course."

Meanwhile, Samut, clinging to his mother like a little monkey, pouted. "Mom, I'm not a rebellious kid."

"Yeah, not at all, yet you insisted on going to Bangkok," Chonlatee teased from the driver's seat.

"Well, I haven't come to my senses at the time," the not-rebellious one retorted.

"Don't worry, Mom. I'll take excellent care of Nuu O. I promise there'll be no hitting involved," Wonchana assured her firmly.

....Not that he'd ever even consider it. He wasn't sure he could even scold him.

Because just one look at those big, sparkling eyes, and his heart would melt into a puddle. And so, the Bangkokian carried the Hat Yai native back to Bangkok, now officially together.

The first workday of the New Year began without much change, except for some people's relationship statuses. While other employees seemed more cautious around the petite new hire, the trio in the office behaved as usual. Because Samut had threatened them.

"If you don't talk to me like you used to, I'll report you to Mr Vice President and have your year-end bonuses cut!"

When the three women first saw Samut, they had greeted him with overly polite tones and even seemed ready to call him 'Mr O.'

Samut sighed deeply... Being open about his relationship was such a hassle. But he figured he wouldn't be working here much longer anyway, as he planned to apply for a master's degree. Smiling to himself, he returned to his work. Nevertheless, as he reviewed the documents Nittaya had handed him, his brows furrowed slightly.

Hmm, why does this new company have so many orders?

The prices were significantly lower, too. His large, round eyes narrowed as he noticed a small asterisk at the end of the price. ‘This price is for a minimum order of 600 tons within 30 days.'

Samut frowned. This accounted for over fifty per cent of the total orders. Then, a lesson from a guest lecturer during his university days echoed in his mind.

Back then, I was involved in procurement for a large organisation. Do you know how messy their system was? Favouritism among vendors exists everywhere; it's just a matter of how discreet they are. I got involved after the bids were opened, not during the drafting of the Terms of Reference. I noticed something odd-the TOR didn't specify much, just the number of employees for the insurance. Each company submitted bids with different premiums and benefits. They were about to choose Company A, which had the lowest premium. But when I looked at the benefits offered, even without a calculator, I felt Company B offered better value. As a legal advisor, I voiced my concerns in the meeting, suggesting we ask Company B to revise its bid to match Company A's premium. Initially, the old-timers resisted, but I insisted on documenting my dissent to protect myself. In the end, they didn't dare choose Company A, and the procurement chair called Company B to revise their bid. Sure enough, they offered better benefits. I want all of you to remember cases like this...'

This was similar to the professor's case, a discrepancy in conditions. But there wasn't much he could do now, as the January purchase orders had already been sent out. Samut stared at the documents for a moment before deciding to move on. He needed to deal with suppliers for the next month and made a note to request similar asterisked pricing from other vendors.

Meanwhile, Nittaya, who had been assigned a new task, was negotiating with suppliers for frozen salmon to fulfil the first order once the machinery was ready. Although the manager had previously requested a quote from Ocean Sea Marine Foods, since Siricho's relative's company also offered frozen salmon, she asked for a price comparison while discreetly sharing the other vendor's price as well.

The situation might've gone unnoticed if Manager Puchong hadn't summoned Nittaya and informed her that he wouldn't approve the purchase from Frost Foods Products.

"Redo the purchase order. Buy from Ocean Sea Marine Foods instead," he instructed.

"Why, P'Pu? Frost Foods Products offered a lower price," Nittaya protested.

"This line of product is newly launched. I don't want any mistakes. Ocean Sea Marine Foods has been doing business with Kingfish for a long time, and their price is only slightly higher," Puchong explained.  Of course, Puchong wouldn't dare admit that the directive came from higher up. It was likely that Mr Vice President wanted to please his little boyfriend's family. And that little boyfriend wouldn't be working here much longer anyway.

..Sigh, time to train a new hire again.

Nittaya returned to her desk in a huff. Though she had to follow orders, she still felt a strong sense of resistance. By lunchtime, she shared the news with Sirichok that the order wouldn't be placed with Frost Foods Products.

"Why not?" Sirichok asked, puzzled.

...if the price is lower, why won't they go with it?

"P'Pu said he wants to go with a bigger company to avoid mistakes," Nittaya clarified

"Do you think he's colluding with the other company?" Sirichok began to stir the pot, knowing Nittaya disliked such things.

"I don't think so. He's been working here a long time and is pretty straightforward." Though she disliked the unfairness of the situation, Nittaya didn't want to accuse her boss without evidence.

"Sigh, what a shame. The company was just starting to recover," Sirichok said, feigning disappointment.

Nittaya paused for a moment before saying, "I'll see what I can do. Oat, you should tell your relatives to be ready."

Sirichok smiled as everything unfolded as he'd planned. Nittaya would find a way to make it happen. How could he give up on this so easily when the rewards were so enticing?

..It was a pity Sirichok didn't know the name of the other company involved. Nor did he realise the purchase was being made with a company all the way in Hat Yai.

[Thursday]

This evening, Samut had a reservation for a ten-thousand-baht omakase dinner. The petite man sat leisurely at his computer, waiting for Wonchana to finish work, as his boyfriend would be taking him to a high-end omakase restaurant in Ekkamai later that night.

"O, can you file this purchase order for me? I've got an appointment, and I'm running late," Nittaya said, handing the documents to her petite coworker at his desk. "Just file it for me... Oh, and stamp it as sent. I forgot."

Seeing Nittaya holding her bag and looking rushed, Samut readily agreed.

"Sure thing."

"Thanks a lot," Nittaya said with a friendly smile before hurrying out. The one tasked with the job glanced at the documents and noticed that the seller was his own family's company. He smiled, picked up the stamp, marked it as instructed, and filed the documents as requested.

..He'd have to poke fun at the said company's boss about this later.

After the meal that cost over fifteen thousand baht concluded, Samut let out a deep, satisfied sigh mixed with regret over the expense. Wonchana then took his little boyfriend's hand and led him to the car, planning to take him for a stroll at the Don Quijote store. Once they were in the car and buckled up, Wonchana turned to the still-contentedly belly-rubbing Samut.

"So, how was it? This meal?"

"It was super nummy, absolutely amazing. The sea urchin was out of this world. But I still feel a bit guilty about the money. It was over thirty thousand baht-that's enough to buy a good phone!" the stingy one grumbled softly.

Wonchana chuckled at the honest response.

"If you've got money, you've got to spend it. It drives the economy, just like the government says. Plus, you got some great content out of it. Totally worth it," he teased before leaning in to steal a quick kiss, earning a glare from Samut.

Ever since they'd started dating, they kept kissing quite often.

...Doesn't he have any sympathy for someone with a weak heart? It might just give out, you know!

Suddenly, the LINE notification sound chimed. Samut looked down to read and spent some time typing a reply. By the time Wonchana parked the car at the famous Japanese store not far from the restaurant, Samut looked up and informed his tall boyfriend.

"P'Win, someone's asking for help."
