Billionaire Biker Boy

Chapter 17. Getting on the Elders' Good Side So Their Chihuahua Won't Bite.

Feeling unwell and disappointed in the one he harboured feelings for, Samut couldn't help but think of home when faced with the gentle, caring actions of the man in front of him. He missed his mother and brother.

...And so, tears streamed down uncontrollably.

Wonchana sighed softly and pulled the smaller man into a comforting hug.

"This is what happens when you're not feeling well. I think you should take a nap. Once the medicine kicks in, you'll feel better when you wake up."

Samut hastily wiped his tears, sniffled, and pulled away.

"Don't come too close to me. I don't want to get you sick."

"It's just one line on the test, isn't it? And if I were going to catch it, I'd have caught it this morning already."

"You're right. But I don't think it's that. I went out to eat, got exposed to the sun and air conditioning twice, and I already have allergies, so I probably just got knocked out from that," he speculated.

"Alright then, what do you feel like eating tonight? I will order it."

The sick man paused for a moment. Although he had a fever, his appetite remained intact. With teary eyes that made Wonchana's heart melt, he replied, "Wonton noodles, dry style."

"Are you allergic to crab?" the one treating asked.

"I'm not... Can I have some barbecue pork buns too?"

Wonchana smiled. Still having an appetite meant it wasn't too serious.

"Of course, I'll order them for you. Now, why don't you rest first? I'll wake you up when the food arrives. And maybe take off your mask? I'm wearing mine, so it'll be fine."

Wonchana suggested that when he noticed Samut seemed to be struggling to breathe comfortably. The smaller man nodded and removed his two masks. The taller man then walked over to his desk, while Samut took off his shoes, curled up his legs, and lay down on the large sofa with its slanted armrest.

He rested his head and closed his eyes. After a while, he felt a shirt being draped over him.

...His lips curved into a smile, even with his eyes closed.

"Thank you, P'Win."

Wonchana smiled at the change in how he was addressed and gently patted the person lying down on the arm as a gesture of comfort. When he heard his boss's footsteps retreating, Samut let his tears of vulnerability flow once more.

...Should I go back to Hat Yai?

Wonchana glanced at his phone, where a chat window was open. Earlier at noon, Chonlatee had added him and asked about the lunch he had with Samut. He'd just learned that the older brother of the smaller man was his senior at university. While they weren't in the same group, they were somewhat acquainted.

Sea: Are you planning to court my little brother?

If I am, would that be okay?: Win

Sea: If it's you, I'd prefer you over that Oat guy.

Oat?: Win

Sea: Samut’s first love.

Sea: He works at the same place.

Sea: O went to work there because of Oat.

You don't like someone named Oat, do you?: Win

Sea: That's right. I don't like him. I don't vibe with him.

Sea: But there's nothing I can do because O likes him.

Do you think I'd have a chance? : Win

Sea: You won't know unless you try.

Sea: With that guy, I think it's just puppy love.

I'm serious about your little brother.: Win

Even though we just met, he's so sweet.: Win

Sea: I could tell from your posts. Otherwise, I wouldn't have reached out.

So, you're giving me the green light?: Win

Sea: Yeah, take care of him for me.

Sea: He might seem a bit clueless, but there's nothing to worry about.

Alright, I'll take good care of him.: Win

════[changbins_delulu_wife]════

Wonchana reread the entire conversation. His hopes of courting the smaller man seemed promising, but the biggest hurdle was Samut's feelings.

...If he still loves someone named Oat...

...What should I do?

The man sighed quietly and decided to type a quick update.

P’Sea, O has a fever. : Win

But the test still shows one line. : Win

He said it's probably just allergies. : Win

Sea: What's he doing now?

He's sleeping in my office.: Win

I'll take him back to his condo later. : Win

Sea: Hmm, O gets allergies easily.

Sea: But he usually doesn't get a fever.

Can I stay at his condo for the next day or two? : Win In case he feels unwell at night, I can help take care of him.: Win

Chonlatee read the message and stayed silent for a while, making Wonchana nervous. But eventually, he got a reply.

Sea: Fine, but don't do anything inappropriate.

I swear on my honour. : Win

....Come on, I haven't even won him over yet. What could I possibly do?

Wonchana put his phone away, walked out, and told his secretary to order dinner, get a cooling gel patch, and fetch the company car keys. Then he quickly finished his pending work.

Since it was Friday and a long weekend was coming up, there was a lot of urgent work to do. By the time Wonchana wrapped up his tasks, the sky had already darkened.

The sound of a knock on the door signalled the arrival of the housekeeper, who brought in a tray of food. Wonchana pointed to the table by the window for her to place it. He then walked over to the petite figure curled up on the sofa and decided to wake him.

"O, wake up and eat something first. After that, we'll head back to your condo."

The smaller man squinted up at him. Wonchana placed a hand on his neck to check his temperature and found that the fever had subsided. The just-awakened man touched the gel patch on his forehead and asked, "What time is it?"

"It's almost 6:40. Your fever's gone down, but you should take another dose of medicine after eating."

Samut nodded and sat up, handing the shirt back to the taller man. He peeled off the gel patch from his forehead and suddenly mumbled a question.

"P'Win, have you ever dated anyone?"

Wonchana paused for a moment before answering, "If you mean something serious, then no. I've just never liked anyone enough. But casually? Yeah, a few."

"And if one of those casual flings lied to you, what would you do?

"I'd cut them off. There are plenty of good people out there. Why are you asking about this?"

The smaller man lowered his gaze and said, "I like someone. He's my first love. But we're not officially together. Still, I've caught him lying twice now, and I don't know what to do with my feelings."

And then, his tears were trickling down. Wonchana gently wiped it away with his thumb. Though he felt sorry for the person in front of him, a part of him couldn't help but feel a glimmer of hope at what he'd just heard.

"Just think of it as him not being worthy of your feelings. There are so many good people out there waiting to love you."

Seeing that Samut didn't respond, Wonchana stood up and lightly tugged on his arm.

"Let's go eat the food before it gets cold."

Samut followed the pull and sat at the table by the window. He saw two bowls of flat egg noodles topped with blanched bok choy, large slices of juicy barbecue pork, and chunks of white crab meat that nearly covered the noodles. Beside them were small bowls of soup, a plate of two barbecue pork buns, and two glasses of water.

"It looks delicious," Samut murmured, pleased.

"This place is famous in Yaowarat. I asked them not to add MSG. Try it first and see if you want to add anything."

Samut mixed the crab noodles thoroughly and took a bite. The chewy, fragrant noodles, combined with the aroma of crab, filled the emptiness in his heart. Normally, he would've added chilli flakes, but he simply said, "It's delicious as it is. No need to add anything."

The two ate their noodles in silence. Though Samut felt a bit uneasy about the taller man sitting so close and possibly catching something from him, another part of him felt warm and comforted.

..Why is P'Win so good to me?

"Oh, by the way, your P'Sea added me earlier. I just found out he was my senior back in university. Small world, huh?" Wonchana said after they finished their food.

The man peeling the paper off a pork bun froze. "Oh, he mentioned last night that he was going to message you but forgot," Samut replied before taking a big bite of the bun. His eyes widened when Wonchana continued.

"P'Sea asked me to take care of you. I told him I'd stay over at your condo tonight, just in case you feel unwell in the middle of the night. He said it was fine."

Suddenly, the soft bun got stuck in Samut’s throat.

...What? P'Sea actually agreed to let another man stay over with me?
