Chapter 20

The sound in my ears is louder than usual. There is the sound of cars passing by, car horns, the whistles of the traffic police, the music coming from far away, and the sound of people shouting to invite you to the shop. And the most prominent sound is talking. I can't understand what he's talking about because it's like there are hundreds of people talking at once. I don't know if there are any listeners. But that sound seems to be easy to make silent. It's just getting louder and louder.

Even the scent wafting to the nose is the perfume and people, mixed with dizziness. As I sat secretly in the van and closed the curtain, I still felt like I knew everything that was happening outside, because my senses were more alert than usual.

The sound of knocking on the car window sounded soft. I sat in the back seat of the driver's and breathed deeply before slowly opening my eyes and answering to the knocking sound.

"Yes"

At the end of my voice, the van door was opened. Liu knocked on the glass. Today, she was wearing a red floral dress, socks, and a hat of the same colour. Liu said Today's auspicious colour is red. In addition to bringing good luck, it also helps any business that is running successfully. She tried to convince me to wear red clothes today, but I refused. In addition to not believing in auspicious colours, I feel too bored to wear such brightly coloured garments. Therefore, it is better to wear something that makes you feel confident. If you wear an auspicious-coloured shirt and are not assured, the gods probably won't help much.

"Ready?" Liu came up and sat next to me before pressing the door to close it.

"Are you ready outside?"

"It's close."

"Are there a lot of people?"

Liu didn't answer. Her plain expression was complex to read, as always. And because of that, I started to be afraid. Even if I don't like being stared at, I'm not scared to stand in front of many people. I know what to say. I know what to do. I can attract attention and control the audience. Therefore, what I'm most concerned about is not my ability. But the people out there.

No matter how good what you say is. But if there is no one to listen to it, that's all. In the past, I have always communicated with my followers through social media. This is the first time we will appear in public. I hope to speak to a live audience. I hope to see a live reaction. Their facial expressions and voices are not just the letters on the page. This will create a connection that will make me closer to the masses. But that would not have happened if they hadn't left the house to see me.

"It's okay," I said with a smile at Liu. "Even if there is only one person, I can speak."

"We know you can do everything."

"I'm embarrassed to hear Liu say this."

"When flirting with a girl in life, I'm not shy. But are you embarrassed by me?" I can only smile. I don't know how to explain it. What I see in life is not my identity.

Lying because I'm not pretending. All that is shown is what I want to do alone, not trying to play someone else's role. At the same time, the identity reserved here is mine as well. There is no real or fake. Only I change according to the flow of events. And the needs that are driven within yourself. "So how are you now? Are you more focused?"

"It's good, it's a little loud, but I think I can control it."

"Do you want a helper?"

"Helper?" I raised my eyebrows and asked incomprehensively, "What does it mean?"

"Well, Chris said that you must meditate before racing when racing..."

"Stop," I raised my hand before Liu said more embarrassing things. It's my fault for telling the news distribution centre, like Dr Chris. I thought he wouldn't tell this kind of story to anyone. In addition to being embarrassing, what type of conversation would it have to say about this story? "Don't listen to Chris too much, please."

"Oh... Isn't it true?"

"It's true, but you don't have to listen."

Liu laughed. Her little hand reached into the strawberry-shaped shoulder bag, taking out something.

"Stretch out your hand," the young researcher said flatly. I didn't understand much, but followed.

It's easy because I understand that she probably wants to give me something. I extend my hand to her. Liu gently supports my hand. Before, I used a red braided rope around my wrist and tied a neat, beautiful knot. It feels like an older man saying that, but I definitely can't with Liu.

"At least have a little red colour with you," the lab doctor said in a smooth voice, looking at the braided rope on my wrist with satisfaction. As if this story has been in her heart since yesterday, "I don't know if you feel comfortable or not, but we are comfortable."

"Okay," I laughed in favour of Liu's frankness. "If Red colour is enough. It's better to wear all red."

"The red body is better than the black body, like now." Liu looked at me from head to toe. Send a look that says she doesn't like my suit. "You look super bad.”

"But I like this."

"Do you like to look bad?"

"Even if you wear red all over your body, it's still a bad habit."

Liu looked at me thoughtfully again, tilting her neck to think seriously for a moment, and then she nodded in agreement.

"It's true," she said. "The problem is more here." The researcher's mother pointed to her face to emphasise that the point that makes me look the worst is the face, which I quite agree with. I don't look very friendly in the mirror during this period. Even before, Babe said I had a face that invited people to play with me because I looked kind and not very smart, which made me suspicious. After all, I'm growing up.

"Thank you, Liu." I smiled at the senior girl. Now I feel much calmer. The chaos that has been disturbing my perception just now has decreased. Even though I don't use the 'helper' as usual, it's probably because I'm more familiar with Babe’s sense. And even though I don't want to praise myself, I think I control my mind better than Babe, maybe because it fits my body more. "Both the lucky red and being a friend, I'm very okay."

"Chris ordered us to watch you. He's afraid of you running away."

"Why would I run away?" I laughed.

"Who knows? When you are very worried, you may change your mind."

"It won't change," I replied firmly. Meanwhile, the phone screen lit up. The name Chris appeared, which should signify that it's time. "It's this time. Can't change your mind anymore"

"That's good," Liu replied before answering the phone. She added a smooth voice to the phone as she turned to make eye contact with me for the last time.

"Okay, I'm going to take the hero out."

════[changbins_delulu_wife]════

The cry was so loud that I wanted to raise my hand to cover my ears. Even people with normal perception may feel that this loud sound disturbs the auditory nerve. Therefore, it would not be strange for people who know more than villagers, like me, to feel like their eardrums are broken. I turned to meet Dr Chris's eyes, who was standing not far away. Next to him, Jeff was saying something on the radio. He looked at me still for a second before walking towards me, took the earplugs from his pocket and quickly stuffed them into my ear.

"Are you okay?" He asked. I nodded when I felt comfortable. Usually, the racetrack is also noisy like this. But it may be because the audience is further away from me. The sound is not as loud now that there are many people around me. I immediately looked around. I immediately understood why Liu did not answer when I asked how many people were there.

At first, I thought the number of people who came was small. Liu didn't dare to answer. But now I know that because it was much more than expected. She avoided answering because she feared it would make me feel pressured and more excited than before.

This is an open space. It is a semi-garden activity yard near the city centre's big department store. There is a section with a green artificial grass floor. There is a carpet yard for activities. There are large trees around. Including ornamental plants in small and large pots according to the decoration. There are also medium-sized, strange-looking sculptures scattered throughout the area. Next, there is a slightly larger concrete yard. Most of them are used as a sports practice area or for skating. Sometimes it is used to organise festival shops. It is considered a complete multi-purpose area.

At first, I didn't think we could book this place because we don't have that line. And second, our activities are quite risky because the purpose is contrary to the big capitalists. Previously, we were hindered and blocked in many ways. Until we posted anything on social media, each time we had to sit and wait to see when it would be banned. Therefore, using a place in the middle of the city with so many people passing by was beyond my dreams. But last week, Dr Chris made my dream come true by saying, 'This is not beyond our hands.'

I realised that Dr Chris has some lines. But I never thought of the size of asking to use charcoal here, and now I see that after this, I have to dig deeper into his story. There are scary mafias, and it will be a big mess.

"Hello"

A brief greeting can easily elicit the audience's enthusiastic response. In front of me, there are children, students, middle-aged adults, and older people of mixed genders. Every eye looks straight at me in the front row. Only about four to five steps away from where I stand. As for the last row, I don't know. It's so far away that my eyes can't reach it. This low stage doesn't make me see anything more. But it would take up the space at the end of the activity yard, for which we had asked permission.

At first, it would be clear enough for everyone to sit and listen comfortably. However, considering the current number of people, simply standing without a body is considered very good, especially when accompanied by the person next to you.

"Before I say anything, I want to confirm that everyone is okay. Can you hear me in the back?" There was a shout from the back row, a sign that they heard my voice. Therefore, it was somewhat reassuring that the audio system P'Touch prepared had sufficient performance: "Not too uncomfortable, right?” He shouted back at the same time, 'No'.

I feel like an idol or a rock star, even in this life. I've never sung anywhere except in the bathroom in my own house.

"It may be a little crowded. I'm sorry. I didn't think there would be so many people of this size" And as always, they responded in unison, 'It's okay.'

"Thank you very much to everyone who came today. I don't know if I hope I'll dance or sing anything. I'm going to say that I can't do everything. If I can do it, it may be a car drift. But if you do it here, I'm afraid it's too fun." Their laughter made me feel much more relaxed. Although I'm not afraid to speak in front of people, I must admit to feeling nervous.

Even though I was already known as a racer, I didn't need to talk to anyone. From time to time, I might have some interviews with the media. But that's just talking to a small group of people. And don't worry that they won't want to listen to me because making me speak is their job. Therefore, it can't be compared to what's in front of me now.

"Before coming here, I thought there should be a handsome and beautiful person who distributed brochures to everyone. But if anyone hasn't yet, you can raise your hand. Someone will bring it to you. I'm the one who prepared the information and designed it myself. So I want everyone to read it."

There were about a dozen hands raised behind me. After speaking, Liu, P'Touch, Jeff, and other workers immediately ran in with the brochure wings in hand. Only Dr Chris was standing still. Of course, that was not his job. Dr Chris was by his side to help me throughout the event. If I were a celebrity, he would be called a manager. He took over this duty not because he was worried or wanted to take care of me or something like that. He wants to do a job that doesn't look like anyone else's.

"Okay, the brochure distribution team is giving away. I'll start. If I stand waiting longer, I'm afraid I'll be able to sing," I said while smiling sweetly to the front-line audience. Most of them are teenage girls who always hold their mobile phones pointing at me like they're fans. I don't understand how much fun it is to follow me. I'm not an entertainer. When I was a racer, I could still know that they came to see me racing. But now I can't show them anything. But they look pleased to see me. The world of fans is sometimes complicated to understand.

"Before discussing anything, I invite everyone to play a fun game together. This game requires one volunteer. I ask for permission to poke it myself. If anyone gets poked and it's inconvenient, you can refuse it. Be considerate of each other."

I walked around the stage, looking for someone who looked suitable to be a volunteer. Some people lowered their eyes with nervousness. While some people looked and looked at the eyes as if they were saying Choose me, choose me.

My eyes collided with a girl. It took less than twenty seconds to search; she seemed to be in elementary school. She had braided her hair on both sides and tied a light blue bow to a plain dress. Next to her was a boy who looked older, probably in high school, who had a similar appearance. It was expected to be a brother. Both of them stood in the front row. Before kneeling, I walked to the side where she stood so our eyes were at the closest level.

"I found one," I said with a smile, looking at the excited elementary school girl's face.

The best I could come up with was to sit in front of her. "Can you come and play a game with me?" The girl looked hesitant. She looked at me alternately with her brother standing beside her, who was making a face full of boredom with the world. He would just be a sister's friend, or was forced by her parents to bring her sister. Therefore, it doesn't seem very emotional. But that makes me want to choose this girl.

"Brother, can I borrow your sister for a moment?" I asked for permission. The young man looked a little shocked that I said that. He made a slanted face. His eyes looked left and right as if he was hesitating to answer. "I promise nothing dangerous. Just a short game, no more than a minute is over. And you can ask to stop at any time."

I explained more. He was a little stunned. But in the end, he replied softly, "Yes, that's fine."

"Sister, I'm okay. Are you okay?"

I turned to talk to the little girl, Bo Fah. This time, she smiled widely and nodded until her bangs were blown. It shows that she was hesitating just now because she was afraid that her brother would really disagree. When she was allowed, she looked very happy.

"Okay, then I'll take a detour up this way."

I place my hand towards the stairs next to the stage. Doctor Chris, who was hiding on the side, went down to pick up the volunteer girl. She looked at the doctor's face and blushed a little. The girl would not have known P'Way before. Because if she knew you, she would look more like seeing a ghost. In fact, Dr Chris's disclosure to the public like this is a form of chaos. But we already have a list of names and photos of all team members on the project website. Clearly stating that his name is Chris. He is the team's research doctor. As for who will believe, don't believe or start creating conspiracy theories, it's the best. They will think that I can dig up the ghost of P'Way to help with the work. It doesn't have any at all.

"Hello," I said, an official greeting, when the little volunteer was coming up to stand next to me on the stage already. "What's your name?" I handed the microphone to her. The girl looked nervous; she knew she had to speak into the microphone, but she still cooperated well.

"Ginny"

"Ginny.. The name is so cute." I smiled at the name's owner. She smiled back while raising her hand on the roll.

"How old is Ginny?"

"Eleven"

"Can you ask why I came today?"

"I... I want to listen to Charlie speak."

Her answer is sincere. Ginny really listens to me because, when answering that sentence, she made direct eye contact with me for the first time.

"Why do you want to listen?" I continue to ask. Children of this age will not be interested in what I say because some of them are too complicated to understand. Which can easily become boring, but Ginny has heard these things from the beginning. "What do you want to know?"

"I just want to know. Will it really be a way to make Sense disappear?" The little girl's eyes sparkled. I saw hope blooming in those eyes when she looked at me. "I want Sense.. It can be destroyed."

"Why?" I asked, "Why do you want to destroy it?"

"Because..." Ginny looked hesitant again. She was stunned, then turned to look at her brother, who was standing below the stage. The high school boy stared at his little sister with worried eyes. He shook his head slowly. Ginny sighed when she saw her brother's face like that. Before turning to answer in a flat voice, "My friends never say it's possible. And there's probably no special person who wants to destroy their own sense of self. So I want to make friends to believe that it's not true."

"Em... It's a good reason." I admired her from the bottom of my heart, before kneeling in front of Ginny again and making eye contact with her. This time, the little girl didn't hide from my eyes anymore. She stared at my eyes as if she was looking for the answer that was lingering in her mind, with all the expectations that "So can Charlie ask a few more questions." Ginny nodded.

"Ginny, there is someone in this life that Ginny wants to meet a lot, but I don't think there will be a chance. Did you find them?"

Little Bo Fah stood still. She glanced at her brother again for a split second before looking back at my face. The eyes were dulled. Ginny took a deep breath and replied in a soft voice.

"Yes, sir."

"Okay, Ginny doesn't have to tell me, but I want Ginny to think of that person's face, the person who Ginny wants to meet. Close your eyes and imagine him as clearly as possible." Ginny nodded before slowly closing her eyes.

"Please allow me to shake your hand. If you're not okay, shake your head." Little Ginny didn't shake her head. She closed her eyes. As I slowly extended my hand in front of her, I gently placed my hand on her palm. I didn't hold the whole hand. Just put it down so that the palms touched each other. Ginny's little hands trembled a little, probably because of excitement. But I believe that after this. That feeling will fade before you know it.

The surroundings are so quiet that it doesn't seem like hundreds of people are gathered here. Every eye is fixed on the stage as if waiting to watch a magical show. And I felt a little bit like a famous magician about to create rain that would flow back into the sky.

"Relay, relax, imagine clearly." I gently nodded at Ginny without saying anything to her. She nodded even though she was still closing her eyes. The attitude looked calm, as if she were travelling in another land that I didn't belong to.

After about thirty seconds, the whole courtyard was still silent. Only the sound from other places came in. The girl in a blue skirt stood still in the middle of the stage. The breath that used to be in uniform began to get stuck. The beautiful eyes hidden behind the eyelids moved clearly. She pursed her mouth tightly as if trying to hold back. But in the end, she couldn't resist her own feelings. Ginny burst into tears.

Tears flowed down both cheeks before she slowly opened her eyes to look at my face.

"How are you?" I asked.

Ginny raised her hand to wipe her eyes and turned to look at her brother again. He was looking at her with concern. But Ginny smiled widely and nodded gently as if to say 'I'm fine'. Her attitude like that made her brother look relieved.

"Did you meet the person you want to meet?" I asked again.

"I found them." This time, Ginny answered confidently. She smiled widely while tears continued to flow down without interruption. "I hugged him, too."

"So good."

It's really good to see Ginny's smile. And more than that.... Her brother is smiling too.

"Thank you, Charlie."

"You're welcome," I responded with a smile. "Thank you, too, Ginny. Very good."

Ginny smiled back. She said thank you twice. Thank you. Thank you very much. Before Dr Chris took her down from the stage, he handed her to her brother, who stood waiting on the side of the stage. I stopped walking in front of them again. Smile at the talented brother who seems to love his sister very much. But not much, I hope, after today, so that he can express his true feelings more.

"Thank you, brother," I said, thanking the young boy before reaching out in front of him. Ginny's brother looked at my hand hesitantly. But luckily, he didn't think about it. Finally, he raised his hand to answer. I shook his hand gently, holding it for no more than three seconds and then left.

Ginny's brother looked at my hand. His eyes widened. His mouth was wide open as if he wanted to say something. So I shook my head at him gently instead of saying that it was not necessary to say anything. He didn't need to say anything to me. Just smile with tears. That's all. I can recognise everything.

"Everyone may be wondering what I did just now. Why did Ginnie cry? First of all, I swear that I didn't secretly pinch you." The loud laughter came back. Destroying the silence like a forest just now. "Everyone who saw just now was in the process of creating an illusion. Of course, what everyone saw was only the palm that touched Ginny's hand. But what Ginny saw... It's an imaginary image."

I raised my palms to reveal to everyone that it was just an empty palm that is no different from the palms of ordinary people. Sweeping their eyes around the crowded courtyard, people observed their reactions. Of course, the responses that occurred were diverse. Some people were surprised. Some people were shocked. And many people were hesitant about whether to believe.

"This is one of the senses that I can do. Which I know is hard to believe. No one believes this kind of thing until they experience it themselves. I understand well. Sometimes I feel like I'm a shaman or a cult as well." My stupid joke still causes laughter, as always. This part would like to thank everyone in the X team who helped me develop the confidence to do this without feeling embarrassed.

"And I also know that many people may think that this kind of thing is compatible. Ginny may be my niece, who was hired to help play the drama to deceive everyone. Therefore, it was just a trial game. Everyone made an effort to come to me. Even here, it would not be very fair to let Ginny play the game alone."

The sound of buzzing came up immediately after I finished saying that sentence. It's not just them who were excited. I, who was standing on the stage, didn't feel much different. Because this is not talking about what I want to say or showing a little sense, like in the past, but this will be the first time I will create an illusion to control the perception of hundreds of people at once. I've never done it before. But I'm sure it will succeed.

"The method is similar to what Ginny did just now. Anyone who wants to prove it, I would like to let you close your eyes. But don't think about anything. Let your mind be empty. Let yourself be comfortable. That's enough. Leave the rest to me."

Everyone closed their eyes as I ordered. Ginny, my brother Jeff, and our team all closed our eyes. The atmosphere came back to silence again, leaving me alone, who still opened my eyes. I inhaled and relaxed awkwardly. Repeat that three times before slowly letting what circulates in the body work.

I realised the energy running from the toes up to the top of the head, then back down again. The group in front began to react. They looked calm, as if they were letting the soul flow out of the body. No thought, no doubt, not shocked. Only silence is still working.

I was the last person to close my eyes. Closing my eyes in the real world is equivalent to opening my eyes in the fantasy world. I was still standing on the stage. And in front of me, the same group of people was still standing together. But our surroundings are different. It is a wide open space, white, no trees, no grass, no strange sculptures, no soil, no sky. There is only bright white that surrounds us all. Everyone looked around, confused, and asked each other as if they couldn't believe their eyes. 'Do you see the same?' 'Where is this place?'

'How can you do it?' Or even 'Is this an illusion?' I don't intend to explain anything. Let them experience the illusion on their own, without guidance. After a while, I decided to add a little trick, so I gently flipped the palm that dropped on the side of my body. After that, everything that had been clean and white turned black in the blink of an eye. We stood in the middle of a vast space, seeing only ourselves and those around us. In addition, it was completely black. There was no sound from outside coming in. There was only our own loud buzz until now. No one would have any other questions while I was thinking about what would be good. Would the next image be good? Suddenly, the perception space I created was strange. It's not as quiet as the first time. There was an odd sound coming through.

Come in, which is not a human voice. At first, I wasn't sure what the sound was. Until it got louder and louder, the louder I became, the more familiar I became with it. This sound.... I've heard it almost every day for many years.

Preeb!

The black area disappeared like a large cloth that had once covered the blue sheet, torn off instantly. Everyone fell out of the illusion because of being distracted by the crazy noise. No, in fact, the person who was distracted until he couldn't control his own power was me. I turned to meet Dr Chris's eyes. He held the radio in his hand. Raised it near his ear as if waiting to listen to the situation. After only a few seconds, crackling emerged from the communication tool. Followed by the sound of P'Touch, who was mixed with the sound of breath.

"Team X... Beside here."

I can't say that I'm shocked. In fact, since I heard an engine sound that was not that of a normal car. Just listening to it, I realised that it must be a racing car. And the racing car that will accelerate the engine is loud nearby... I don't want to slander, but is it hard to guess?

"Babe is also here."

Touch's next sentence made me unable to stand still anymore. I handed the microphone to Dr Chris and rushed down the stage without even explaining anything to the audience below. Because just hearing that name, I realised that I didn't have that much time.

════[changbins_delulu_wife]════

Today is the day that I feel the most refreshed in weeks. The sound of the engine hitting the eardrum makes me feel indescribably alive. North takes his beloved car to drift in the middle circle of the courtyard until the dust settles. The surrounding audience applauded and cheered in pleasure. Followed by Dean, whose skills improved shockingly. He continued to the older generation, like the North, without embarrassment. But the most exciting show is a racing car that the audience is not very familiar with. But draw the pattern into the curve sharply. The sound of the engine roars, and the young people on the sidelines or even the team members themselves still scream almost faintly because this is the first time in many years that the 'Captain' of the X Hunter team brings their beloved child to release things in front of the public.

Of course, the hero had to be locked up in the end. I took my talented son down to run in the courtyard that had been arranged as a racetrack. Even though it can't be shown in terms of speed, if it's about technique, I can tell you this space is abundant. The sound of wheels rubbing against the concrete floor and the tight engine running is really beautiful. The more I see how excited the audience around me is, the more I want to leave all the waste. I haven't had this much fun in a long time. I almost forgot how much I like driving.

After taking my son to show off his skills until the end of the move, the four wheels came to a complete stop. I opened the door and got out of the car with loud applause and cheers. To be honest, I really miss this feeling. I feel like I've gone back to the same time. When life was only racing, full of freedom and unlimited travel, I thought about it, and I don't understand how to leave this kind of fun behind. Previously, I must have played with things until I really lost my mind.

I sent a kiss to the audience as a thank you for the excellent response. But that can't be compared to the front-row audience, standing with their arms crossed, looking at me.

"Oh, did you come and see it?"

I pretended to be shocked while leaning my hips against the hood of my car. My eyes were fixed on my handsome ex-boyfriend, who was approaching me with a face that was not very emotional. What's wrong with him? Or won't you like my performance just now?

"What are you doing, Babe?"

That was the first sentence Charlie greeted me with, except it was without a cute smile. Say hello as always. The tone of voice still doesn't sound friendly. This kid is really rude.

"I'm working," I replied casually.

"This is the work?"

"Yes, let's come to the whole team, don't you see?"

I looked around for North Sonic and Dean, who waved to greet me with a smile. As for Alan, he was standing next to Jeff, who had his arms crossed and was complaining about something. It wouldn't be out of place for a story to appear here without being told. However, I was the one who begged him to keep it a secret. But it would be better to let the captain take it himself.

"The racing team must be promoted as well. Attracting new racers and sponsors will soon mark the start of a new season. Can't you just lie down? You're a racer yourself. How can you not know about this?"

"I know that," Charlie replied in a flat voice. He tried to be calm as always. But I know that inside him is boiling right now. "But Babe will tell you that the team came to promote today here. Is it a coincidence?"

"Hmm... If I say it's a coincidence, it's a bit bullshit." I replied with a smile. I don't want to see that I'm happy with the suffering of others. But the more I see how upset Charlie is. The more I want to smile wider. Smile to tear your mouth, the better.

"Well, I went to see a doctor. He said that if you want to promote the team to get attention, you have to do it here today, and only this time. And from what I see now, I think this doctor can be used."

I looked around the courtyard. Now, more people are coming together than before. Not only people who come to see racing cars, but also those who come to Charlie. Everyone looks at the two of us with interest. Many people began to raise their mobile phones to take pictures and shoot videos. Some people even open live broadcasts. Of course, the return meeting of a couple who have broken up is more intriguing than anything else. I don't care at all about how much this picture will be published or in what form. But Charlie doesn't know whether I like it. In some places, a hot guy may not want to frame with my ex-boyfriend like me.

"Let's talk somewhere else." Charlie glanced around when he saw that people were starting to stare more and more. His voice began to weaken. The handsome father whispered and begged me to get out of here with him. "Don't make it in the news."

"Why? It's good news," I answered indifferently, Charlie's hot posture at all. "It's good news. I'll be able to promote the team. You'll get the trend too. Don't you want the light anyway... Why are you afraid of being in the news?"

"This is a different story," said the famous man, gritting his teeth. He would try every way not to let others know what we were talking about. He tried to move his mouth as little as possible to prevent being read. "Don't bring personal matters into play. It's not worth it."

"What personal matters? Do we both still have personal matters?"

"Babe, I know that Babe wants to get me back. But don't do this. This is important to me..."

"What did you get back? Don't be ridiculous."

I interjected because I didn't want to listen to him talk about the same story that I've heard a hundred times. But the pity is still the same. His ideology is greater than keeping me in his life. Our relationship is an obstacle to his dream. Just thinking about it makes me angry. I don't want to hear those things anymore.

"I'm just doing what I want to do. That's all. Don't think too much." I laughed helplessly. Charlie's facial expression now makes me feel really fun. He's angry but can't do anything. Disappointed that I can't speak. And deep down, I believe he wants to take me back, too. But in this situation, he can't do anything to me. No, I can't do it in any situation. "And one more thing, Charlie... You don't matter to me that much."

I don't know if he still has some room in my heart, but I hope that beyond this sentence will hurt him for days.

"What I do is my business. It doesn't mean it has to be about you."

"If it's not about me, can I beg you?" Charlie said in a stiff voice. His face was flat. As I said just now, it didn't affect his heart at all. "My work is not finished yet. Babe’s car is disturbing my work. If I ask Babe to refrain from using the voice for half an hour, is it possible?"

"No"

Charlie took a deep breath again. He seemed to be holding back hard. But he probably didn't know. The more he tried to endure, the more I wanted to see when he would explode.

"Babe", Charlie said in a low voice, signalling that he was not joking and not enjoying the game.

"Glasses?" I replied in a sweet voice, tilted my neck to look at his face, and made a confident expression, in case it would help the handsome ex-boyfriend's explosion work faster.

"Why do you have to scold me... Dad, aren't you happy to see me?" The more I pretend not to be as serious as Charlie, the angrier Charlie becomes. I know that Charlie will be upset every time I pretend to play when he is serious. If it's when we're still dating, he will look at me with fierce eyes and say, 'If you're not ready to talk, let's talk? I don't like it when he acts like this.' And if he said that, I still won't stop. Be prepared for a big storm.

"Don't do this." Charlie's mouth, the dam's eyes ran away. I know the same thing. Because if he looked at my face for a long time, he would be even angrier. Charlie kept turning away. Like this: "Grow up, Babe, stop playing as a child for once"

"I don't want it."

"Babe, don't stir"

"I want to play. I want to be a child. Why?" I floated my eyes and said. Before using my fingertips to push the tip of Charlie's sharp chin to look at each other, he shook his face gently as if annoyed. But the more he did that, the more I liked it. This time, I put my palm on his cheek with my hand. And that made him still. It can also cause a stir from the sidelines.

"What are you going to do?"

Charlie looked at my face as if he were exhausted from fighting. He stood still and let me touch his face. He indulged because he thought I could do the most. But... He was wrong.

I smiled at my only ex-boyfriend. Pulling the hand that was attached to his cheek back to touch my own lips. Before taking it back to touch Charlie's lips, the sound of people was loud. Many girls screamed because the image was like in a novel or drama that they were addicted to. While Charlie was frozen, he didn't react to anything. Keep standing and staring at me. He swallowed sticky saliva down his throat as if he had just learned to swallow for the first time. He has now turned off his ears.

"I didn't do anything... I just want to play with you."

Charlie was still until I realised he was not just deaf but shocked.

Until... He smiled.

"Okay," Charlie smiled as if he were a different person from before. And suddenly, I felt goosebumps all over my body. Just because of his smile and changed gaze.

"If Babe wants to play, I can play with him."

"Huh?"

Without explanation, Charlie then stared at my face before flicking his fingers loudly. The sound of flicking his fingers made my body tremble to the bone. In the ear, there was a high-pitched whistle that made my skull hurt. But what's more creepy than that? Everything is still.

It's not just a feeling or because of the nerves; I'm hallucinating. But everyone around us, including the audience, team members of X, Charlie's researcher, people passing by on the road, or even the birds flying above. Everything remains like an image frozen in a video. But this is not a video. This is real life. The really ongoing image, which should not be stopped, has stopped. The short and long needles on the clock tower itself stop with time... Stop walking.

"You... How can you do it?" My voice seemed to disappear according to the movement of everything. I looked at Charlie's face, confused. Now there are only the two of us who can still move normally. I'm not the one who did this kind of thing. Therefore, the only culprit is him.

"No.... When can you do it?"

"There's a lot more that Babe doesn't know." The smile still adorned his handsome face. Charlie awkwardly approached me. Moving closer and closer until I accidentally leaned away. But I just realised that there was no way to escape anywhere else. Charlie stretched his arms down to the car's skirt. He locked me with both arms. At the same time, that face moved in until I could feel his breath. "Does Babe really think you can beat me?"

I was about to open my mouth and punch him back. But I was attacked first. Charlie put his lips down quickly and closed them. His lips were warm and hot. He kissed me without any complaining. I can hardly remember when this intense kiss taste last happened. It's both Roman, Jab, and hard to resist. But what's worse... I don't want to oppose him.

I closed my eyes, tilted my face to accept the kiss of the mean ex-boyfriend willingly, raised both hands to support his face, sucked and pulled his lips, and hooked my tongue to fight back without giving up. I felt like this was not a kiss that came from affection. But it was born from the mass of the tight emotions of both of us, anger, disappointment and the desire to win. Everything was overwhelming until it was overwhelming. Until finally we chose to use this end and beat the teeth to get the other person back.

Charlie kissed me. I felt a burning pain in the corner of my lower lip. I didn't have to tell you, I knew that the kiss just now looked so boiling that I got blood. The smell of rust in my mouth is good evidence. And the villain who made me like this doesn't seem to feel guilty at all.

"And…. A real kiss must be like this." I don't want to judge that I lost this round. If anyone asks, I would like to answer that it is always the case.
