Head 2 Head
Chapter 1 -Introduction - JJ doesn't eat noodles.
Two cars, virtually indistinguishable except for their colour, drove out of the gates of houses directly across from each other. One was white, the other black. Both the make and model were identical, and the houses were so close, separated only by a street, that someone unfamiliar with the situation would assume the owners knew each other, or were even close friends. In reality… knowing each other was one thing, but when it comes to closeness, further clarification is needed. 'Closeness' in what sense…
"Damn!" A curse immediately rang out as he heard more than ten honks of the horn, like a greeting from the owner of the other car. But Jinn knew that it wasn't really a greeting; it just wanted to be a jerk!
"Are you trying to honk at your father?!" The owner of the black car rolled down his window and yelled back angrily.
"My dad's home, why would I want to look for him?" The owner of the white car immediately rolled down the window and retorted. A sly smile spread across his beautiful, thin lips—a smile that would surely make anyone who saw it want to get out of their car and punch him.
"Yeah, I'll go tell your father to come and take his son back inside his eggs so he won't go around bothering people like this!"
“Wow, getting irritated so easily like this, you’ll raise your blood pressure!” Jerome shouted back, chuckling softly at the other's comment. His eyes gleamed with amusement at having annoyed someone so early in the morning. He was truly happy!
Immediately, Jinn finished speaking, not wanting to look at that annoying face again. He pressed the button to close the window and turned the car away from his house. Even though they already knew that the white car behind them would follow them all the way to the end, because their destination was the same!
See? Even if they came from the same place, it doesn't mean they're always close and affectionate. In reality, these two twenty-year-old men are a light-year away from a loving relationship. But if you replace "love" with "dislike," "dislike the other's personality," "dislike everything about them," then that's the truth because Jinn and Jerome seem like they were born to devour each other, like people who can never be friends in this lifetime. People who are enemies from head to toe.
"Hmph," the young man, left behind, snorted. His usually sweet eyes narrowed with a wicked, scheming expression before his large foot pressed the accelerator, speeding past the black car that had already sped off, ignoring the fact that they hadn't even left the village yet.
"Did you think you could overtake me, Jinn? You're mistaken!"
After that, at every traffic light, you'd always see a white car and a black car of the same model parked side by side. The white one would usually pull ahead first.
The black car always leads the way, and it's a never-give-up attitude all the way to the university. Even so, they never exceed the legal speed limit, not even once.
"Damn it!" Jinn cursed again the moment he saw the white car pull into the parking lot just a fraction of a second before him.
"You lost again today, Jinn," Jerome teased the person who had just gotten out of the car and chosen to park three blocks away from him, as if he didn't want to park next to him even though there were plenty of spaces.
"Little brother? Ugh! You're only two months younger than me, you idiot!" Jinn made a disgusted face. His tall, imposing figure quickly walked away. He didn't want to share the same space with Jerome for long; he might catch his lying bug, and that would be a big problem!
"They judge by height these days. Whoever's taller is the senior," said the person who was five centimetres taller than the others, walking slowly behind. Although he didn't want to follow, what could he do? In the end, their destination was the same. From the beginning to the end, it's really karma.
"So what? Arguing nonsensically, so childish." The person walking ahead tried to completely ignore the stinging sensation in their heart when the other person mentioned their height. Tch! Only five centimetres taller, and they're still talking about it!
"You're the kid." Jerome, using his slightly longer legs, took long strides ahead, a sarcastic smirk playing on his lips as he taunted the other man, who was returning the middle finger with both hands. He then transformed his expression into a sweet, gentle smile for passersby, as if the mocking grin he'd given the man behind him had never existed.
"What a liar," Jinn rolled his eyes in disgust. Even without seeing, he could tell what kind of face the person walking ahead was making. He acted one way in front of him and another with others. Because of this, the young man had gotten used to calling Jerome "that liar." He pretends to be warm and a gentleman, when in reality, he's incredibly annoying.
“Huh!”
Jerome glanced at the person who had walked past him again while he was stopped to talk to a junior from another department. He gritted his teeth inwardly, but even so, the smile that adorned his handsome face did not diminish in the slightest.
"Okay, I'll be going now. Talk to you later," the young man said, goodbye, nodding to the group of women before quickening his pace to catch up with the people who were walking ahead. They kept taking turns walking ahead of him until they disappeared from view, leaving the group behind staring after them in bewilderment.
"It seems those two fashion brands really don't get along."
"Yeah, that's right. They're always competing, no matter what."
"Two tigers can't live in the same cave, everyone knows that."
Yes, everyone knows that Two Screens, Two J, or "JJ," the fashion designer, can never get along. It's impossible!
But no one could have predicted that in the not-too-distant future, something would happen that would leave the entire university wide-eyed and speechless in disbelief: the story of Jerome and Jin, something that seemed impossible, yet had become possible at that moment.
A shocking story that will change everyone's beliefs forever...Not even the owner of the story.
